Trinity/Whitgift/Dulwich College 10+/11+ 2021

Hello,

as mentioned countless times, I found the previous years' threads very useful, so it is now time to start this year's.

DS sat the 11+ reasoning test at DC yesterday. He'll sit the morning slot at trinity and we are awaiting confirmation of assessment date from Whitgift.

DS is remarkably relaxed so far. I, on the other hand, am a little apprehensive about the next few weeks.

How are everyone else's DSs feeling before "the storm"?

Yes- have an email from Dulwich- but only came through after 4pm and no idea if they're sending them in batches, but they are sending today

I'm not sure it will mean that to be honest. For us it was good news, but could be totally random in terms of going down a list

No word this end from T (pre test, but apparently run along with the 11 plusers). My DS is a marginal anyway but the v bright kids at the school who are dead certs for interview haven't heard either.
I find it quite rude actually. Wouldn't cost the school much to send a mass email saying, we're a bit delayed, sorry.

As frustrated/impatient as I am, I don't think T is delayed necessarily. They said we would hear this week, not today.

Interviews were meant to have started today though, at least for the pre testers.

Well, for all we know they have started (there are only about a dozen people replying on this thread out of the hundreds who have applied.)

Also, again, looking at the wording of the email I received after submitting my application, it says:

Interviews for candidates who are successful in the exams will be held from the week commencing Monday 10th January up until Friday 3rd February and you will be either telephoned or emailed with these timings.

Are you sure yours doesn't say something similar?

Yes it does actually. Anyway, we'll all find out!

Reading this again and I think I am paranoid now and feel like the interviews for T have begun, maybe those that have been called aren't on here.

For W has anyone actually got an "unsuccessful" yet?

Ts school diary doesn't mention any interviews until Friday of this week. They continue through to the 28/1. Don't panic yet!

Has anybody heard back from W for the 10+ I don’t think I can wait any longer for the results!

Me too! But equally, I haven't heard that anyone has had comms from T yet. So there's still hope!

The wait is over, have heard back from T re interview. Now for the next phase of this process! Good luck everyone!

T have mailed, yay. He is invited for interview, details to follow, and we will hear of progress of non academic scholarship applications this week too. And breathe. Fingers crossed for all your boys

Congrats, itsallpurple. We've also now heard back from T and D with good news. Now I can get to be nervous about DS going into interviews when he's not the most talkative kid and certainly doesn't know how to "sell himself". good grief, this process is just one giant ulcer.
