Trinity/Whitgift/Dulwich College 10+/11+ 2021

as mentioned countless times, I found the previous years' threads very useful, so it is now time to start this year's.

DS sat the 11+ reasoning test at DC yesterday. He'll sit the morning slot at trinity and we are awaiting confirmation of assessment date from Whitgift.

DS is remarkably relaxed so far. I, on the other hand, am a little apprehensive about the next few weeks.

How are everyone else's DSs feeling before "the storm"?

You are right. But since the interviews start on the 10th, probably they will call the first batch of interviewees after the 1st.

Does anyone have any idea what weight Trinity places on ISEB? DS is through to interview with DC but much prefers T. I am just wondering whether call back for DC may be a good or indifferent sign for T!

Trinity don't use the ISEB, just their own exams?

Trinity 11+ doesn’t use ISEB scores. Trinity 13+ uses ISEB for the pre-test route along with the written exam scores.

Yep I meant pre testing for 13+. But they sit the same exam as the 11+ applicants.

ahh, okay. I wasn't expecting to hear back from DC or Trinity until January but perhaps for pretests it's a slightly different timescale.

Has anyone else heard about interviews from either?

We've heard from DC for 13+ interviews but no dates yet. Apparently Trinity has started calling people with 13+ interview confirmations, but we haven't heard yet. If you don't get a call from Trinity by January 10, that means a no I guess!

Ah really? Ouch. Long wait over Christmas!

DC and Wetherby, of the London schools. I know Charterhouse has sent its interview lists out but we haven't applied there.

Nope nothing yet but they did say in the email that notifications would be from next week.

MumJes, You might want to start a different thread for charterhouse as not sure many applying for 10+ and 11+ at the Dulwich/Croydon schools will have experience there.

Has anyone heard from any of the above today re interviews? If so, was it by email/phone/letter? Starting to feel pretty nervous.

No nothing my end. Whitgift will be an email trinity will call, I have a feeling it’ll be next week before we start to hear anything.

Nothing from T either - although we're pre test rather than pure 11+. Nor have the far brighter kids at DS's school.

Oh good. Think it's feeling that no news is bad news.
