Trinity/Whitgift/Dulwich College 10+/11+ 2021

Hello,

as mentioned countless times, I found the previous years' threads very useful, so it is now time to start this year's.

DS sat the 11+ reasoning test at DC yesterday. He'll sit the morning slot at trinity and we are awaiting confirmation of assessment date from Whitgift.

DS is remarkably relaxed so far. I, on the other hand, am a little apprehensive about the next few weeks.

How are everyone else's DSs feeling before "the storm"?

T 11+email has arrived but no mention of academic scholarship. It’s just says DS has (has been offered a place at Trinity School, starting in September.)

Yes from Trinity with 10% scholarship and Yes from DC.
No news from W yet. We also applied to StDunstans and they offered 25% scholarship. Big decisions ahead!

Remember there will be movement within the waiting list places.

The scholarship offers are normally within the email.

Only think I would add, if you know you aren’t going to accept a place let admissions know asap.

We got YES from W. So happy for him.

Just coming on to plead that those with multiple offers decide as quickly as they can and help those on waiting lists - yes, that's us! - not everyone gets an offer!

DS has forbidden us to check mail or open letters until he is back from school. Just received two through the mail, a fat and a thin one so expecting one yes and one no. A few more hours of waiting 🙄

Sorry to hear that Emo. It is such a terrible process for children this age to go through. Emo I really hope you get some good news soon.

I remembered your DS attended a schorlarship interview? Its a shame but he must have done very well to get through. Congrats!

@Gladwhenitsover I could not NOT open them! My son pretended he did not remember the offers were coming today, even though we have been talking about it all week! Acting casual but I am sure he is feeling pretty nervous.
@Emo76 the waiting lists will move a lot for sure. Most kids have applied to different schools. For us the choice will be really tough, so I cannot deny we will take some time to decide. My son is in a mediocre state school and this 11+ process has been a shock to the system for many reasons for us....

For those with DC 11+ emails, do they all just say that they're offered a place or do any also contain scholarship info too?

My email only says he has been offered a place, so I guess no scholarship :-( as both St.D and Trinity's emails mentioned the scholarship in their email.

NO mention of scholarship in our email from DC. Has anyone had scholarship from DC mentioned in the email? I guess no scholarship

@silver12 great news! Waiting for the letter through the door, maybe good news there but I doubt it, they would have mentioned it in th email for sure.

Dc scholarship info is in the letter but not mentioned in the email this year

Our post has arrived already but no letter from DC. Maybe tomorrow!

Lucky2022, thank you. I am at work so don’t know what is in the post from T but I did get an email from bursary for T saying that my DS been offered bursary .it’s full fees place for W.

Yes amazingly our postal service has managed to deliver first class post from both schools we applied to the day after posting.

For DC the email just said he had a place, but the letter contained details of academic scholarship / music award.
