Anyone else itching for tonight/tomorrow?

Were in Essex and DD passed 11+ in catchment for two grammars so we know it's option one or two but I'm still desperate to know- DD has her heart set on our first choice.

Her friendship group (and my mum friendship group!) have applied for four different schools as first choice so we're not worried about being with friends etc.

Congrats to all those who got their first choice! You can sleep well tonight! Nothing on the website but we are London so we'll have to wait I guess!! More waiting!!

Nothing up for Wiltshire yet.

Ok it appeared we didnt get 1st choice but would like to accept second and go on waiting list, does anyone know what to do....

We got our first choice!!! That makes such a massive difference!

Oh god I’m glad it’s not just me, I’m terrified he won’t have a place at the preferred school. It’s going to be a stressful situation if he hasn’t and it’s also unlikely. 😖

We’ve got first choice. Still waiting on another application for a new school, but that’ll be by post I’m assuming.

Just posted a thread as totally freaking out.

Logged in at 2am. And there is nothing in the portal. No message. No button to click for offer etc. Other local people posted after midnight their results.

I had email confirmation of application. It's the right link. Right log in.

We didn't get our choice. I'm an absolute wreck. DS has autism but no statement. The local school is definitely not the place for him. We will appeal but I'm so so scared and we've come.so far with him. He already has one failed school place and was home schooled for a year - he definitely needs to be at school though, home schooling is definitely not the right thing for him.

I just don't know if I can do this shit anymore.

Anyone know the form with East Sussex?Do I just wait for an email? Website refers to a "synergy account" but no clues as to how to access this?

I stayed up till midnight - we didn't get any of our choices and got given a terrible school. I'm gutted and feel I've failed my ds with my choices for him.

My DD got her second choice. First choice was a grammar school!
She will be gutted, I don't know how I al going to tell her.
Honestly, I am relieved. The grammar school is good, but my DD does not need the added pressure to certain stresses she already has. Her dad is severely ill and will possibly pass away in her senior school time.
The school she got is an outstanding school.
How the blinking heck do I tell my hopeful DD that she didn't get into the school she has dreamed about since year 3

nosleepformetonight I know that the portal for our admissions area has been offline yesterday (and still is this morning). It won’t be back until the results are released, ‘sometime’ today.

Oh no tuna. Don't know which area you're in but can you appeal? Go on a waiting list? I know grammars seem to work differently depending on area.

Tuna sounds like she has got the school she needs rather than wants. Upbeat and positive. Hopefully she will have friends going?

There's no option to log on anywhere and check in my area so I'm waiting for an email which will apparently come some time before 5pm. I don't think my nerves can take it!!

Just popping on to wish you all well. A couple of years ago my ds didnt get his first choice and then got in via the waiting list. It was very hard and we were going to appeal. I then ended up helping my friend successfully appeal.
Accept your offer and then appeal etc.

There are loads of brilliant, kind and generous people here that give advice etc. They're really helpful.

She has definitely got the school she needs! I feel like a traitor to her for saying that!
I have now told her, her words... 'oh well, better to be in a school I should be in rather than a school I just about got in to'
She is gutted, but she is taking a mature attitude.

We only have one school anywhere near us so it wasn't so much a first choice as an only choice. Still was bizarrely nerve wracking to check though! Good luck to anyone still waiting

2nd place. Not showing any disappointment to ds as I don't want him to feel negative about the school.
