@Iwantcakeeveryday can you not read? I’ve said the solution is a two state solution. Or are you expecting me to try and get myself inside Gaza?!?

How dare you have a personal dig at @ganondoof ?!

I have noticed yours is a typical type of post from Free Palestine posters. You love to dehumanise Jewish people or posters who write with sympathy about the atrocities Israel has just experienced by saying we have no humanity or we are disgusting. You act all outraged or maybe even are yet are happily dehumanising posters.

Well Keir Starmer has the same beliefs along with most of the Shadow cabinet. David Lammy openly laughed at Jeremy Corbin in parliament the other day.

All our political leaders should be ashamed of themselves over this. All falling over themselves to back Israel in their collective punishment strategy. It’s shameful.

Please point out where I said it makes anything okay.

I agree. They all have blood on their hands.

Again people focus solely on Israel's response to the massacre. If they stopped and never bombed again, if they halved their military, do any of you think that would bring peace? This is simplistic thinking and it won't work, it'll just make jewish people in Israel more at risk. Why do you think they have that military? Because people around them what them dead.

We want people to be left alone to live in peace, all people, in both Israel and Palestine.

I don't think anyone here would disagree. So, what is your solution to bring this peace? Because there are two sides contributing here.

My solution would be to stop the destruction of the Palestinian people by forcing them from their jobs and homes and lives and enclosing them in an overcrowded, hell hole existence and expecting no come back, ever.

But its too late for that.

Immediately after the attack on October 7th of course world leaders came out in united condemnation.
What else do you expect Sunak and Biden to do?
Actually, don’t answer that.

World leaders can offer support and hope to have some kind of influence in negotiations, the way forward, oh and the tiny issue of world peace.

Perhaps, some posters could get a map out and have a look at who surrounds Israel.
Big clue. Syria and Iran those well known bastions of democracy.

FinnsFineFrog · 24/10/2023 16:40

Oh look,
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12666157/Son-Hamas-founder-Israeli-spy-says-father-army-want-annihilate-Jewish-people-create-global-Islamic-state.html

it's not just Free, free Palestine after all. The mission is to annihilate Jewish people and create an Islamic state. Mhm.. Who'd have thought??

The son of Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, who defected from the terrorist group and served as an Israeli spy for years, is warning Americans and the rest of the world how his father and his army wants to 'annihilate' Jewish people and establish sharia law around the world.

This guy's dad must be seriously disappointed in his non-terrorist son😆

GoldenHurst · 24/10/2023 16:42

Perhaps you could start lobbying Jordan or Egypt to take some responsibility for Gaza and Palestine?

They don’t want them either.
As a previous poster said some kind of international coalition is perhaps the way forward for Gaza.
It’s truly horrific what has happened due to the actions of Hamas and how little value they’ve put on all human life.

Again, you are only thinking about one side of this, and yes, you are not making a realistic proposition. Two sides have contributed to this problem. You are only thinking about how to save Palestinian people, and not about how to protect Israeli's.

No because I don't support terrorists

This.

annabelindajane · 24/10/2023 20:01

I know this isn’t a helpful comment towards a solution but they have been fighting in this area for 4000 years and still at it . So many multi layers carefully taught down the ages .

Protect Israelis?? One of the most secure and protected countries in the world?? They need protected from themselves. What they have done to the Palestinian people over the years has resulted in what happened with hamas attacking. And if the Israeli government think they will destroy hamas with this continuous bombing, which the UN chief says is clearly violating humanitarian law, it seems to me it will only create a whole new generation of hamas supporters.

The victims on October 7th weren't secure or protected.

Blame Netanyahu. Took his eye off the ball, now he's destroying Gaza to save face.

No I think I'll blame the people who actually carried out the massacre thanks.

I can’t think of one other situation where so many women would seek to blame the rape of women and slaughter and mutilation of children and babies on anyone other than the perpetrators.

There is a real problem here. It’s very obvious. And frightening.

Israelis are quite good at protecting themselves.

Which kind of explains why the Palestinians were never able to return to their homeland.

Since the start of current hostilities, nearly 6000 inhabitants of Gaza have perished. 4 times the number of Israeli deaths.

And so it will continue. The world knows this is wrong, but the strategic importance of Israel trumps everything.

It is also Israeli's homeland and thete are Palestinians there. We have explained over & over again why Palestinian casualty levels are so high. You haven't yet explained why Hamas won't release their hostages. The reason the west supports Israel is because the international community feels a responsibility to protect the jewish state after the horror of the holocaust. Israel is also the only democracy in the region. Iran has long declared its intention to destroy Israel, as has Hezbollah & others, and so yes, the West supports Israel. Now, why on earth would anyone object to that, I wonder?
