Thought I’d get a new thread going as we are perilously close to filling the last and I for one am enjoying watching events unfold in your good company!

buckle up…it’s gonna be a bumpy ride….😁

Thanks for new thread. I’ll be performing some tunes on my tiny violin to welcome fellow posters as they join here. I’ve been playing it since seeing the artist formerly known as First Mammy performing on the news today🎻

LittleDitto · 25/04/2023 18:24

I really am enjoying watching them and their dream of independence turn to dust and disappear through the floorboards!

Scottishskifun · 25/04/2023 18:29

Does she not visit her MIL? Ooo that's a nice vehicle parked on your drive way........

Christ if people swallow half of that bunff then thi country really is screwed!

guinnessguzzler · 25/04/2023 18:30

@NowThatsWhatICall22 😂

@TheBelmont Do you really think we'll need a new thread? I mean, surely it will all blow over soon 😂😂😂

apples24 · 25/04/2023 18:34

I've loved following the other thread. Still cannot believe how many people in my social circle seem to thing "it's nothing". This includes civil servants in the SG. :(

Rainbowshit · 25/04/2023 18:38

Thanks for the new thread.

I see the SNP are trumpeting that their membership numbers have increased.

But also that they are asking the MPs to donate some of their salary...

spiderplantparty · 25/04/2023 18:44

Thanks for the new thread. This is all turning into a bit of a soap opera. I find myself tuning in each day for the next instalment.

Nicola has emerged today as Bobby Ewing, fresh from the shower with absolutely no knowledge of anything that has happened these last few years.

speedtalker · 25/04/2023 18:50

I keep asking accountant friends how a treasurer wouldn’t notice £100000 going out the account and not question it. I’ve been a treasurer once (for a very small sports club) and it just blows my mind.

See I love this….there is no way MPs are going to donate some of their salary…the whole reason they are in politics is because of the great gravy train that is the devolved parliament. Heaven forbid they actually have to contribute anything…they are all massively on the take!

Looking forward to seeing how the next round of shenanigans unfolds. Nothing to see here, stronger for Scotland, it’s the will of the Scottish people etc.

BlueThursday · 25/04/2023 19:08

Maybe it’s not a missing £100,000 but that magical Scottish money that we will use when independence comes

She's definitely been in Dunfermline (where the MIL lives) - it was in the local paper that she'd been spotted in Asda!

MrSheepy · 25/04/2023 19:11

They do pay some of their salary anyway I gather.

HinCogNeetOh · 25/04/2023 19:13

Thank you for the new thread. Watching with interest, the punditry here is quite marvellous.

user567543 · 25/04/2023 19:18

Are we saying the SNP couldn’t run a small community group? Surely treasurer pre-approval for non trivial purchases is standard practice everywhere…

medianewbie · 25/04/2023 19:30

Thanks for the new thread @TheBelmont. Going to catch up now... (must admit I watched rhe new 'Shauny Boy' clip earlier. Rather rude, but very funny 😄

He has now remembered the motorhome...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-65385825

Aah, that thirty foot shiny thing, I remember now. 😁

PollyPeptide · 25/04/2023 19:43

I get that Colin Beattie, who was not treasurer at the time the motor home was bought, dudnt sign off on it, but, surely, if it was bought for electioneering, these people like Beattie, Yousaf, Flying, Blackford, those high up in the party all knew. Who's paying for its road tax, insurance, etc? Someone must know about its existence. Or did N&P buy it without telling anyone and just park it at his mums without anyone seeing it? Surely some committee voted on it?
I can't get my head around it really. The bus no one has ever seen or heard of.

Whatthediddlyfeck · 25/04/2023 19:52

Checking in for the continuation of the 💩 show, and the throwing under the bus/motor home that the SNP are now doing with their colleagues!

Whatthediddlyfeck · 25/04/2023 19:58

It’s getting farcical….

Without being scottishfied to the hilt... It definitely wasn't an official snp battle bus.
