This Bill goes to parliament for discussion on Tuesday.

If you'd like to write to your MSPs to raise the issue of women's rights and/or children's rights, here are some useful ideas for points to raise/form letters:

Ok @Rainbowshit the Scottish government has a very different perspective on law and governance from Westminster. Stemming from Scots law and a separation of education and religion from English law.
If you are happy to discuss this pleas elucidate.

And this has what to do with actuarial work vs government statistics?

I'm still waiting for you to teach me about statistics.

promisetobehave · 22/12/2022 23:10

@Rainbowshit the problem is bad men. We may not live with them or know them.. or think we do but they are there and ok 3% of them may be trans. But the problem is society is fucked. And we need to love more not hate more. Look for the good and be aware for the bad.
Trans people are human

Blister · 22/12/2022 23:10

It never happens.

If it did happen, you are placing too much weight on one incident.

If it happened multiple times, you hate trans people so you are collecting evidence.

And anyway, I and my friends are comfortable with it so who cares if your granny is so narrow minded (what we should recognise as being assertive) she wants only women in her pool or for her intimate care?

promisetobehave · 22/12/2022 23:11

@Rainbowshit I can teach you about statistics anytime... promise

Here and now then. Go on.

promisetobehave · 22/12/2022 23:14

@Rainbowshit and.. What would you like to know about statistics

So where's you're love for the females having to share showers and accommodation with sex offenders?

Where's your love for the 9 year old sexually assaulted by a known sex offender in the wi spa incident?

Where's your love for the girl raped in loudon county whose attack was covered up and the trans perpetrator went on to rape another girl at the school they were moved to?

Where's your love for Karen white's victim?

I can go on and on. Because this thing that never happens, is happening again and again and again.

@Rainbowshit please learn what statistics mean

Teach me what you think I don't know according to the comment you made here please?

Blister · 22/12/2022 23:17

@promisetobehave you are not making any sense. The problem has always been bad men. That's exactly what we are saying. And trans people are human. No one said any different. But laws are there to protect the weaker from the stronger and in sheer strength 3% of transwomen with access to single sex spaces is too many. 1 man using this for his own benefit is too many.
Safeguarding laws are there to discriminate where that discrimination leads to safety. not as privilege redistribution.

BinBandit · 22/12/2022 23:17

Well I'd proffer that there is a difference between scotgov stats and those produced by a qualified actuary in that the latter would likely hold up under scrutiny whereas scotgov stats are invariably flawed/inaccurate/downright lies. In general its a case of shite in and shite out where their stats are concerned. And yes, there is lots of evidence of that including several warnings from the national statistics office.

Merrilydancing · 22/12/2022 23:18

Men are also human yet we have lots of safe guards in place, why is that?

Ha ha! I very much agree with this.

Is that the best you can do?

promisetobehave · 22/12/2022 23:25

@Rainbowshit @BinBandit you're spouting nonsense now so off you pop.
I'm just relieved that the bill passed and people I k ow and more importantly their small children can feel that they really exist.
So crack on with your illegal hatred.

Busted. 😂😂

Oh and Point out the "illegal hatred" please?

ditherydotty · 22/12/2022 23:30

I think it's disgusting and hope that the bill gets turned. The world has gone mad.

Merrilydancing · 22/12/2022 23:30

I’m still waiting on the statistics education never mind the illegal hatred one!

ArabellaScott · 22/12/2022 23:30

can feel that they really exist.

Are these people in the room with you now?

BinBandit · 22/12/2022 23:33

I think we've maybe broken them/her/him. If you believe I've done anything illegal then feel free to report. I think that getting popcorn out to watch women be assaulted and raped is the worse thing that anyone on this thread has said but then I'm only human....

BinBandit · 22/12/2022 23:34

"off you pop" 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Grow the fuck up.

lifeinthelastlane · 22/12/2022 23:46

Rainbowshit · 22/12/2022 23:04

@lifeinthelastlane I'm not using it as a "gotcha". I happen to think truth matters and saying 100% of people in prison for rape is just not true.

Sorry, I think I confused your intent Flowers

Rainbowshit · 22/12/2022 23:50

@lifeinthelastlane no worries. Thanks for the Thanks.

Nobody who runs the argument that, because a space can never be guaranteed 100% safe for women, it’s ok to tolerate increased risk or even do away with such spaces altogether has ‘impeccable feminist credentials’. No feminist is thinking ‘well, some women have always been the victims of male violence in prisons so let’s not bother segregating prisons at all’.

But stranger to me is when posters like this talk about ‘male’ violence. Or ‘women’. There is no such thing as male, female, men, women in the world you’re helping to build. Up until very recently, human cultures categorised and named things based on the shared characteristics those things had. ‘Things’ being anything from boxes to butterflies to 19th century literature. There has to be some sort of a shared understanding of what a box or a piece of 19th century poetry is (and what it isn’t) for those concepts to have any meaning. There are no longer longer any characteristics that define ‘woman’ or ‘man’ and yet self-ID proponents use these terms as if they still mean something. Bizarre.
