Thought a wee separate thread would be handy to keep us all going and for the kick up the bums we need, tips and motivation

2 mile walk last night
3 mile walk this morning
I can feel the old feelings of lockdown creeping in again now though. Knowing I can’t go and see people and feeling really restricted.

What is the point in isolating when every second person has the damn virus

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 24/03/2022 08:25

I really do agree @runningpink. I can feel the horrible feeling coming back too.

Scotland seems to have the longest isolation period too, which depresses me.

Bloody well done on the walking! I must go out more today. Spent too much time wallowing yesterday.

runningpink · 24/03/2022 08:32

Today feels like a wallowing day. Pissed off with the world.
I am ill but I can get out of bed and do stuff. So I should be able to work if I wish.

I’m weirdly craving a walk along the beach! Won’t happen as it’s a good hour away sadly.

I was going to do a zoom class but not in the mood for it so think best to miss it for today.

I’m glad I’m not alone feeling this way.

I started reading a tread where someone was asking if you will buy tests and regularly test/isolate. Which gave me the rage.

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 24/03/2022 08:37

Oh, I’ve been in that one, @runningpink.. it started quite normal but now the mentalists are on it, it’s like being back in 2020!

Why don’t you wallow fully for the morning, then get a shower and do one task, and see how you feel?

runningpink · 24/03/2022 08:49

I’m unreasonably pissed off that a class I do is moving to a different day next week. I obviously wasn’t there this week but it would have been nice to have been asked if it suited type thing. Normally it would be carried over to the next block not changed days. I don’t know why it’s annoyed me so much.

I have a meeting before lunch then might head to relatives for shower since mine is obviously not been able to be fixed as yet.

What are your plans today?

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 24/03/2022 08:55

Maybe the covid, I’m feeling quite sensitive too: irrationally upset by my work’s attitude by not even confirming emails, far less asking if I’m ok!

Oops, sorry about the mention of the shower 😃

I’m going to drink coffee and read my book this morning to try to make the day shorter. Clear out a cupboard in the kitchen. Dog walk, and then maybe get DS to hold the pads while I box if I feel better later

runningpink · 24/03/2022 20:01

Oh a bit of boxing sounds like the perfect way to get rid of some frustrations. Hope you managed it @WouldBeGood?

I decided at the last minute to do the class and I pottered about rest of day doing wee jobs.

Definitely feel like I’m getting better gradually.

How has your day been you two?

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 24/03/2022 21:08

Well done on the class, @runningpink! I didn’t box but went a dog walk again. Think I’ll box tomorrow as it should be PT day.

I’ve been logging calories and staying within them, so although I’m not moving much should hopefully be ok on the weight front. I’m so worried about losing momentum.

Glad you’re feeling better @runningpink!

runningpink · 25/03/2022 07:22

I have a distinct lack of food in the house but hoping to get freedom to get to shop at weekend. Friends have offered but it’s not the same as being able to grab what you want. And I plan to go in maskless as it makes even less difference now.

Well done for still tracking @WouldBeGood I’m impressed

Daily walk to the bottle bank complete. Didn’t quite stick to the countryside this morning but it’s still quiet out and the two people I passed I moved onto the road well out their way.

Tested this morning and very feint line. So I will test again this evening and hope to get my day 1 negative! I doubt we are even contagious anymore!

Todays plan
Online class (easy/low intensity)
Plant summer bulbs
Read my book
Do some work stuff
Turbo possibly
Another walk

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 25/03/2022 13:22

Hi both! Busy couple of days with too much wine and no exercise... Glad that you are feeling a bit better @runningpink and still keeping up the momentum @WouldBeGood. I'll do body combat later and try and pack in lots of exercise this weekend.

mapleleavesreturn · 25/03/2022 19:10

Right, returning to the fray tomorrow after being off track due to yet more crappy bugs for a while. I've walked 15k steps today!

runningpink · 26/03/2022 10:18

Welcome back @mapleleavesreturn

FREEDOM for me! Celebrating with a walk! 😂

OP posts:
mapleleavesreturn · 26/03/2022 15:57

Glad you are unleashed running hope you're scooping up some of this lovely sunshine!

runningpink · 26/03/2022 16:14

Definitely making the most of it…
10 miles covered over two walks
30 mins on TRX
Just been to shop so have enough food to tide me over until I can do an Aldi/Lidl shop
So I’m ready to kickstart this weight loss thing again tomorrow

OP posts:
WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 27/03/2022 11:08

Hi everyone!

I have been off it a bit over the last few days. Calories not likely to be great today as we're off out for lunch and the teen bought me some lovely chocs. However, I am trying to motivate myself to go for a run to get the week off to a good start exercise wise!

Glad to hear of the covid crew releases! You're sounding very motivated @runningpink and well done for keeping calories on track @WouldBeGood

Welcome back @mapleleavesreturn how has the weekend been for you?

I picked up some of the low cal I cream from Aldi yesterday along with some ice lollies that seemed pretty low calorie. Inspired by this thread and the sunshine!

Right, where are my running trainers...

runningpink · 27/03/2022 13:20

I think calories don’t account today @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo so all good.

How was your run?

3.5mile walk so far today

Breakfast and lunch weighed out as much as i could and logged. I’m going to aim for 1600 calories a day. Not sure if that realistic for loosing weight or not but will soon find out.

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 27/03/2022 13:30

Well done guys! Glad you’re free @runningpink. Look up the calorie calculator on the James Smith Academy: it’s free and pretty good. Will give calorie and protein goals according to what you want to achieve. Just Google, and you don’t sign up to anything.

I fancy ice cream now 😃 no proper exercise yet, just dog walks. Planning to get back in gym tomorrow. Lots of calories yesterday, so back on track today

runningpink · 27/03/2022 13:52

Thanks @WouldBeGood I was close days 1700ish on that calculator.
I have had to guess my weight though as scales out of battery
So I might aim for between 1600-1700 a day

I could do with ice cream as it’s so warm but I don’t have any. An ice pole it is then

OP posts:
WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 27/03/2022 18:06

Hi guys. Just as well the calories don't count today....

My run was rubbish and I gave up half way. Seriously wasn't feeling it. But, poss TMI, my period started la couple of hours later completely unexpectedly as not due (thanks perimenopause) so I think that was a contributory factor.

runningpink · 27/03/2022 18:17

You tried and that’s the main thing. Some days it just doesn’t feel right so best to stop.

OP posts:
mapleleavesreturn · 27/03/2022 20:18

Not much to shout about here, still too many calories but determined to sort it out tomorrow!

runningpink · 27/03/2022 21:14

80k steps this week despite being quarantined so I’m chuffed with that 😃

Plan to really kick start tomorrow. I done well until after tea then started eating rubbish.

OP posts:
WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 27/03/2022 23:36

Well done on the steps @runningpink

Right, Monday. A new week. I'll be calorie counting and will do a Les mills class. Good luck to everyone with the Monday goals!

WouldBeGood · 27/03/2022 23:46

Very impressive steps!

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo good to listen to your body.

@mapleleavesreturn you can do it!

I’ve been very bad all round today. Back on it tomorrow. I’ve planned food and going to try to get back on the exercise 💪💪

runningpink · 28/03/2022 21:02

10.5 mile distance covered over 3 walks
25k steps

Water…not great
Food good until tea time as I was starting and had chocolate
