Thought a wee separate thread would be handy to keep us all going and for the kick up the bums we need, tips and motivation

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo well done on your run.

I'm going to fast til 11.30 tomorrow and just have 2 meals. Will try to do that 3/4 days a week.

shouldistop · 05/10/2021 07:36

11st4lbs this morning, a stone lighter Smile

I think I might not fast til 11.30 half the week. After I fed ds2 at bedtime he was still acting hungry so dh gave him a bottle and he drank 4oz of formula. My milk supply must have dipped.

So I'll just keep doing what I have been doing as the weight is still coming off anyway.

WouldBeGood · 05/10/2021 07:47

Well done @shouldistop! Very impressed.

You’ll probably be surprised by how many calories you’re allowed so it’s sensible not to fast too much.

shouldistop · 05/10/2021 09:12

@WouldBeGood do you have any classes today?

No exercise for me today except housework while mil is round playing with the baby. I'm going to go for a swim tomorrow.

Today's menu is bran flakes & an apple for breakfast, soup & toast for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner.

WouldBeGood · 05/10/2021 10:15

Yoga for me @shouldistop so I should be more chilled!

traintraveller · 05/10/2021 11:25

Well done shouldistop I usually run at lunchtime during the week but DP has had to go out to work and I'm waiting in for his delivery. So might not manage it today which mucks up my schedule but never mind

runningpink · 05/10/2021 11:44

I went a soggy walk. Meant to be doing an outdoor class this evening, I’m usually fairly hard core with the weather but it hasn’t stopped all morning and forecast is same all afternoon. Will see what it’s like later

Well done on the weight loss @shouldistop!

A work emergency late yesterday got in the way of my bodypump plans and upended my day today and I've had to come into my office which is very inconvenient for my exercise plans! It's pouring down here too - doesn't seem to have stopped all day.

Calorie intake has been pretty good though. I'm waiting until Friday to do a proper comparison though.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 05/10/2021 13:48

I'm impressed you managed a soggy walk @runningpink if it's anything like it is here. Walking to the car was as far I managed in this rain.

shouldistop · 05/10/2021 14:18

It's dry and almost sunny here. We're going to go for a walk once dh finishes work at 4.

runningpink · 05/10/2021 14:37

It hasn’t stopped all day. Some of the roads are flooding.
I needed fresh air hence going out. But ran to my car a wee while ago and was soaked just doing that.

Praying my class is cancelled!

My class is cancelled! Happy dance going on here! 😂
I don’t normally mind but this is beyond an acceptable amount of rain!

Snuggled up on the sofa it is!

Well, it’s out of your hands @runningpink! 😃

I’ve done yoga, and been a dog walk. Eating ok so far. Do struggle with getting more protein but lamb steak for dinner so that will sort it!

WouldBeGood · 05/10/2021 22:20

Tried on some frocks for my London trip next weekend. I still look like a pudding in them but can fit in. So must have lost a bit, which is cheering. Must nail the eating properly now.

shouldistop · 06/10/2021 06:30

@WouldBeGood it's a good feeling when something that was too small now fits isn't it. I forgot you're going to London, I'm jealous Grin
Dh and I have booked an overnight in Edinburgh for December, mil is going to stay at ours to look after the kids.

WouldBeGood · 06/10/2021 08:44

Thanks @shouldistop 😊 I’d been putting off planning an outfit for the fancy meal we’re going for as I was worried! Least I have a plan now, and a boost to keep going.

At least you have a nice night away to look forward to.

I need motivated this morning: planning a weights session before my hair appointment but feeling bone weary!

shouldistop · 06/10/2021 09:06

It's always worth the effort, you'll feel good afterwards.
It's a lovely day here today so I'm planning a long walk with the pram then a swim later.

WouldBeGood · 06/10/2021 11:28

I went! Now eating high protein low cal brunch before hair.

Sounds like a nice day @shouldistop and good to make the most of the weather

shouldistop · 06/10/2021 13:57

Eek I'm having a bit of toast with jam, hopefully my swim later burns it off

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 06/10/2021 14:46

I've been a bit lax on the exercise since my run on Monday. I've got a bit of a cold so just feeling really lethargic. Calories still good and I was 11st 4 today - a couple of pounds lower than I have been in recent weeks. Could just be fluctuations, but I'll take a win to keep me motivated to cut down on the snacks!

shouldistop · 06/10/2021 17:56

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo we're weight twins Grin

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 06/10/2021 18:03

We are! I think maybe I should go have some toast and jam too!
Grin

How has everyone's exercise gone today? I was genuinely motivated by all your posts to get my ass our for a run after work despite feeling a bit under par. And feel so much better for it. That was week 5 run 1 of C25K which is as far as I've ever stuck it for, so anything from now on is a bonus!

DH has made a health keema pie for tea and the whole house smells delicious so I'm looking forward to that later.

shouldistop · 07/10/2021 07:07

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo my swim was good thanks.
Good for you with the running. I've got yoga tomorrow and I'll try to get to the gym over the weekend too.

shouldistop · 07/10/2021 17:34

I went to dobbies with my mum today, she had a cake, I stayed strong and had a toastie but didn't eat the chips that came with it 💪🏻

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 07/10/2021 18:30

Oh well done on resisting cake!

Motivated by an article on weight in the perimenopsuse I did a Les mills core class last night, though did follow up with a packet of crisps Blush in my defence, I was within my calorie count for the day, and it had been a high protein low carb kind of day...

No snacks today though and just did bodypump so feeling all strong and pleased with myself.
