Thats good news for folks wanting to get abroad then, no use getting a cheap flight if the tests cost a packet

It will make a big difference difference! Holidays at the moment are so cheap as well it's why we decided to risk it as it was half the price of a stay in the lake district!

Really informative for travel tests good & bad.
@runningpink will check it out sorry didn’t know you did.[/quote]
Thanks will check it out!

We have already decided to book in resort lft as the price is capped and actually its less faff!

LizzieMacQueen · 06/09/2021 20:36

Thank you @runningpink for creating a separate fitness thread, I was going to rail that reading other people's fitness goals somehow demotivates me. Grin.

Railing that my DH wants to watch the US open ( which I would do too normally ) but I have three episodes of the new BBC drama to watch. Vigil.

WouldBeGood · 06/09/2021 20:39

Sorry @LizzieMacQueen 🤣

Friends just came back from amazing holiday, looked really quiet from the photos and what they said. Definitely, absolutely not jealous.

runningpink · 06/09/2021 20:42

I only just made the tread @Whenisthisgoingtoend so you are all good

rookiemere · 06/09/2021 20:45

I really wish we had gone to Majorca now, as it looks like cases will be even higher for the October break than they were in August. But we're determined to go to Tenerife so hopefully we should be able to buy cheaper tests.

rookiemere · 06/09/2021 20:46

@LizzieMacQueen we're enjoying Vigil, but I don't know if it's just me who's finding Suranne Jones overly microbladed eyebrows somewhat distracting.

ssd · 06/09/2021 20:52

If anyone is looking for a good series, try Spiral. Its french with subtitles. Its a bit gory in the first series but its sooo good, trust me.

mapleleavesreturn · 06/09/2021 20:57

If anyone hasn't watched young Montalbano, it's better than the one set later, nice for an imaginary getaway and kidding yourself you can follow the Italian.

rookiemere · 06/09/2021 20:59

Some good tv suggestions, I'm rewatching Downtown Abbey from the start - enjoying it so much more this time round, it's so peaceful and relaxing- a million miles away from real life.

ssd · 06/09/2021 22:16

Oh ive been watching downton abbey too, i absolutely love it, missed it first time round. Can i also recommend upstairs downstairs, the original one, I've got the box set, but also set a link for it and watch it on catch up, its really good.

WouldBeGood · 06/09/2021 22:22

I hate Downton Abbey. Must identify as a man 🤣

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 06/09/2021 22:32

@ssd - I second Spiral! We binge watched all 8 (9?) series. I still miss it.

ssd · 06/09/2021 22:39

Grin Oi. My dad has been (re)watching Downton Abbey. It's the highlight of his day. Don't start regendering him now...
shouldistop · 07/09/2021 08:24

I just finished rewatching downton abbey, loved it. Nice, easy watching.
So need something new to watch now,
Dh and I watched 'war dogs' last night, it was pretty good.

WouldBeGood · 07/09/2021 12:10

Chesapeake Shores is good light entertainment with lovely scenery

WouldBeGood · 07/09/2021 12:38

Yes, @shouldistop. There a few series. New one just out and airing weekly.

I loved Schitts Creek too.

Also Good Girls.
