Yes they are necessary. Would I allow access to transwomen? Yes.

Do why are transwomen different from any other male?

Because I wouldn't really view them as male. I would view them as female while recognising that their biology told a different story. That's if they obviously trans that is. Increasingly hard to tell tbh especially in the younger trans community.

It is possible to have a nuanced view on this you know. Society and science are two very different things.

They tell schools that they should change the "sex" field on a child's record on the child's say-so. So they're choosing to conflate the two right there, privileging gender over sex.

Okay I did start to read that and on the first page they admitted their own bias and then also admitted that the method they used to gather evidence was flawed.

It reads a bit like those old studies cigarette companies used to produce to show that smoking was good for you. I will persevere later but it's hardly a peer reviewed scientific study is it?

The question of whether transwomen match male or female patterns of criminality is
specifically addressed by the 2020 FOI referenced by Fair Play For Women (who have
submitted evidence to the Committee). This is first time there has been official data to
compare the rate of sex offending in 3 different groups. Men vs women vs transwomen. The
hyperlinks below link to the FOI spreadsheet.
MOJ stats show 76 of the 129 male-born prisoners identifying as transgender (not counting
any with GRCs) have at least 1 conviction of sexual offence. This includes 36 convictions for
rape and 10 for attempted rape. These are clearly male type crimes (rape is defined as
penetration with a penis).
Here is the number compared with figures for sex offending rates in men and women over
the same period.
Comparisons of official MOJ statistics from March / April 2019 (most recent
official count of transgender prisoners):
76 sex offenders out of 129 transwomen = 58.9%
125 sex offenders out of 3812 women in prison = 3.3%
13234 sex offenders out of 78781 men in prison =
16.8%

Nobody said it was a scientific study. This is simply raw data which shows that trans identifying males are convicted of sex offences at a rate more comparable to other males than the tiny percentage of female sex offenders.

If a child wants to change their name or sex on SEEMIS which is official school system then, if they are under 16, written permission must be obtained from the legal guardian.

Raw data, which they themselves admit is gathered in a flawed way and then analysed with an agenda.

The fact is that there are 76 males who identify as women convicted of sex offences compared to 125 women . Women are 51% of the entire population whereas transwomen might be at the very most 0.5%to 1%. Quite a discrepancy you must agree, unless of course you have an agenda?

Genuinely no agenda here. Unless believing that the vast majority of trans people are completely normal, innocent and allowed to live their life with dignity is an agenda.

It is a worrying figure and definitely worthy of further and more robust and rigorous investigation. The method of data collection as o said is concerning and it would only take a few inauthentic answers to skew those numbers a fair chunk.

The vast majority of men are honourable and decent but they are not allowed into female wards, female refuges, female prisons, female hostels etc because a percentage of men are deemed to be a danger to women. Transgender identifying males are no different. They are also for the most part honourable and decent but like other men, some are a danger to women . It doesn't seem unreasonable that the safeguarding guidelines excluding malesfrom female only spaces should also apply to males who do not identify as men.

That's a disingenuous comparison as you well know. Transwomen are as at risk from men as we are in those situations. Maybe even more so.
