Even if you were in a relationship ready to start a family, why would you want to be pregnant in the middle of a pandemic with worrys about the virus, affects on babies and financial concerns.

I suppose it's not the same thing as I found out I was pregnant with baby ds the day after lockdown was announced but I don't think I'd have stopped ttc if I hadn't been pregnant that month. It took us 15 months to conceive this time and I don't think most people thought these restrictions would have been going on for so long.

yes, it was hard to predict what was going to happen. It took nearly 4 years to conceive DS1 and I conceived DS2 very quickly after DS1 was born - and being breast fed and I hadn't had a proper period and i'd had an EMCS...

It seemed that one minute we were having fertility investigations, and the next DH was getting the snip as we had two babies 13 months apart. Life is funny.

I got all my weans by accident, in one way or another. So who knows?! Glad it was a long time ago though

I'm on to rail about my MIL. I really want to just scream FUCK OFF at the top of my lungs. Can't say much because I know she looks on here but she genuinely is really close to breaking my relationship. I can't live with her bullshit. Life is too short.

It is ashame because we are happy except this but she's broken me tonight.

Thanks @Groovee. It is just relentless. I just can't imagine hating someone as much as she does me. It is not unwarranted to a level I did at one point lose my shit with her after years of it but i don't deserve this level of crap.

It's Mr G's SIL who hates me. This whole week bitchy comments on anything I post or comment on on fb. It just drives you to distraction.

Mr G doing well except his wound is very itchy. Was tempted to tie gloves on his hands earlier. He's healing well the nurse says. Thanks for asking.

Anyone else watching Glastonbury from 1990s on tv. Will we ever see the likes again? Will my teens ever get to a music festival on that scale before they turn 40! Railing about everything our young people are missing at time in their lives they will never get back

I watched Glastonbury last night, it was brilliant and the talent on it was amazing

My ds early 20s just wants nightclubs back and pubs open till late. A festival too if thats not too much to ask.

I'm doing ok. I need time away but I also need self catering so Mr G can rest but we're still tied to blooming nurse check ups. I know I have a holiday booked for October but I need a change of scene. Day trips normally work but just now dh just can't manage them.

Off for afternoon tea with friends today. Out for a massage and lunch tomorrow. So I am making well being time for me, which I think is important.

I think there is genuinely more COVID in Scotland right now in addition to more testing. The harder restrictions and quest for maximum suppression have left us more vulnerable immunologically speaking and we have significantly less population immunity (despite more or less the same death for some reason). However, it is tending to be the young and unvaccinated getting it, and those who are vaccinated are less seriously ill, so in that sense it doesn't matter so much.

I did see on Twitter last night NS had done one of those personal appeals for people to be careful though, so perhaps they are getting twitchy about the sheer scale of the numbers. I really hope they don't get spooked into pushing back the opening date again though as we'd lose the whole summer. Doubly gauling if England sticks to their timetable and we're even further behind because of past mistakes.

It’s utterly ridiculous, she put us through hell and we are no better off from doing so. I honestly can’t ever see me getting past all this. Think the only way would be to hash it out with Nicola and perhaps gets some answers which isn’t going to happen
