Nope. I posted on other thread re SAGE modelling.

I'm so sorry for all the Glasgow pubs and restaurants. All set up for level 2 . It's just so rubbish. And so unnecessary.

titsintiers · 14/05/2021 22:55

WouldBeGood · 14/05/2021 23:22

And how long is it since Glaswegians were allowed to hug their family ..???

March 2020, I'm Lanarkshire and I don't remember being allowed to hug my mum last summer.
We had a short spell last summer we could visit in houses. Then you could eat in Restaurants for lunch but that was stopped in Glasgow around 1st September, Lanarkshire a couple of weeks later. Then a very short stint before Christmas.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 14/05/2021 23:49

Is anyone honestly and truthfully still not going to hug their relatives until someone says they can? (Obviously if you are stuck in a Tier 3 it's different).

Lockdownbear · 15/05/2021 08:24

OK legally I'll haven't been in my Mum's house since September or something. That doesn't mean to say I haven't visited. That said we have been careful. DH and I have only just got our vaccine so too early for it to have taken effect.
But I'll hug her soonSmile regardless of the 'rules'

shouldistop · 15/05/2021 10:33

Does anyone know of any cinemas that aren't in Glasgow city? I'm in bearsden and we were meant to have a couple of cinema trips over the next couple of weeks. The one in Clydebank isn't opening, can't think of any others.

Lockdownbear · 15/05/2021 11:38

Check out Odean (sorry if my spellings wrong, it doesn't look right) at Braehead, technically it's Renfrewshire.

There is also an one at East Kibride, maybe a drive from Bearsden, there's a Showcase in Coatbridge, and Vue Hamilton.

shouldistop · 15/05/2021 11:41

Thanks @Lockdownbear !

tiredoftiers · 17/05/2021 08:11

Braehead odeon has been used for distanced court cases so doesn’t look like it opens till the weekend. Not sure whether it will only be opening at weekends.
There’s a showcase at Paisley, but not sure about it.

ssd · 17/05/2021 08:21

Apart from the level 3 thingy, has cineworld gone bust? Ds said it has but Google isnt clear. Such a shame if it has, that one in town is massive.

mibbelucieachwell · 17/05/2021 10:29

Monday morning rail at the uncertainty. The number of positive cases in East Dunbartonshire over the past few days (I think East Renfrewshire too) are around the dreaded 50 per 100, 000.

I'm too scared to enjoy looking forward to going to visit my relatives in Orkney and the far north in the May long weekend now Sad. Is it actually illegal for residents of level 3 areas to visit other areas or just 'guidance'. I have a feeling the Orkney relies would be fine with me going but I think the others wouldn't be.

DS is doing his final degree performance in mid June in London. Hotel and travel booked for it. That seems less certain now too. Waaaah.

ssd · 17/05/2021 11:09

We are in the same boat here .case numbers here are higher than in moray yet we are now level 2.....can see that changing soon. Ds has 2 breaks planned for in june...im telling him to go regardless, but not sure if the hotels will have him

latissimusdorsi · 17/05/2021 11:17

This is all a shit. I have 2 breaks in Scotland booked in a few weeks time. Following all the advice of not travelling far. I'm in West Lothian and numbers good in my area at moment but we know from last year it tends to spread out from Glasgow. Does that mean all of central Scotland could end up with cancelled holidays (in Scotland!!) this yearAngry

Thars what I’m feeling super pissed off about. The uncertainty and crapness of no hope 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'll join you in a wee rail at Monday morning depressingness. I reckon we'll get moved back to tier 3 soon. I think moving down and up a tier quickly will be so bad for people's mental health.

ssd · 17/05/2021 11:33

I just feel despair. It doesn't matter how long we stay in, wear masks, sanitize hands, keep to guidelines....if the government let people fly into this country from another country raging with covid, we might as well give up.

ssd · 17/05/2021 11:35

Are you allowed to travel in Scotland in tier 3? I cant remember

tiredoftiers · 17/05/2021 11:36

No. Got to stay within your authority area if tier 3, otherwise it would all be a bit pointless I guess.
Scotland’s rate per 100000 is huge compared to England’s.

ssd · 17/05/2021 11:41

Ok thanks

Honestly unless the accommodation provider cancels it then still go! Order a lateral flow test to take a few days before but when they allow football to take place with fans then the whole stay at home message goes out the window in my opinion!
