That's not good @Groovee
I know a few folk who've had 2nd dose recently and it's been about 11 weeks.
Not supposed to be more than 12 weeks! Think you should complainAngry

Mistressinthetulips · 13/05/2021 15:55

Groovee you might have more luck looking online once the letter comes? Or do you have a login from the last time?

runningpink · 13/05/2021 16:04

Thanks. I didn’t think she would have mentioned masks. I can live in hope!

I will join you in the escape and can be the nanny as well! Just ply me with alcohol and chocolate!

WouldBeGood · 13/05/2021 16:11

I forgot I had ordered this.. it came today, is gorgeous, and will be perfect for the riviera.

I had my first yesterday, no side effects so for other than a tender arm.

Lockdownbear · 13/05/2021 16:19

Groove you should call them as that's over the 12 weeks

Lockdownbear · 13/05/2021 16:26

@Mistressinthetulips

They are through the front facing lists of teachers/police officers/firefighters etc already in most areas. I don't know of any such lists, got lots of unvaccinated colleagues. I do agree it's a good idea and much better than wasting the stuff.
I don't know if they have been calling the schools but the vaccine centres have definitely been calling the police and fire stations.

TBH if I worked in a school or supermarket I'd be more than tempted to apply for unpaid carer route, esp as they don't ask any questions, just tick a box that you are an unpaid carer.
Maybe I'm awful but when I consider people have done it because they drive a parent to the shops then I'd be more than tempted.

RedactedTaeFeck · 13/05/2021 16:39

Lovely top and you don't need to work running, just pull up your lounger, pick up a cocktail and enjoy a bit of chat/birdsong/gentle waves or whatever takes your fancy.

Groovee · 13/05/2021 16:40

They can only move me back further and as it's just over 12 weeks it's not of a concern! 🤬🤬 wasn't the poor guy on the phone's fault but numerous people I know had their first dose with me and all have theirs next week. The computer can look after Mr G!

Groovee · 13/05/2021 16:41

The unpaid carer route is now closed. Very few of my school colleagues have had theirs yet.

I need to breathe!

In our area they called police/fire station and schools. Then the council set up a voluntary key worker/front facing list for people to sign up to (this is how DH got on the list). For me he just asked a nurse if they had a call list to put my name down on which they did. I think it varies area to area but this is what they did in our LA.
Mistressinthetulips · 13/05/2021 17:09

Thanks. I don't think that's a bad plan at all, but it isn't happening everywhere and can lead to people assuming certain jobs are all vaccinated when we absolutely aren't!

Lidlfix · 13/05/2021 17:21

Definitely not happening in Stirling I have colleagues who are in their 20s who might not be the 3 wks post first dose (for immunity to build) when we go back in August.

Just to make you feel old Mistress and Grovee there will be teachers in classrooms after the summer born in 2000 Shock

Scottishskifun · 13/05/2021 17:26

So frustrating to hear they haven't rolled out the same approach everywhere it makes so much sense to not waste it!

There was a good 40 people done yesterday in our small local vaccination centre by this way of people who hadn't turned up and vials of Pfizer open it's NHS Grampian areas (not Moray)

Mistressinthetulips · 13/05/2021 18:00

Lidfix noooooo not possible!

Lidlfix · 13/05/2021 18:30

I know some soon to be probationers that were at school with DD2 who this applies to. Even though I know what age my DDs are, this really threw me.

ResilienceWanker · 13/05/2021 19:23

I'm totally on board with the spirit of the sanatorium. I'm waiting for DS to come out of a gym class and am in a beer garden, looking out over the firth of forth. With an aperol spritz. It may be about 7 degrees with a stiff breeze and a slight drizzle, and I have gloves and a scarf, but I am Living The Dream. I need that kimono thing to do some wafting.

titsintiers · 13/05/2021 19:30

Good point @ResilienceWanker Aperol spritz must be on tap at the sanatorium, I insist

WouldBeGood · 13/05/2021 19:32

@ResilienceWanker it is superb for wafting.

Duvet jacket more suited to Scottish sea viewing.

As I am old, I do not think I have experienced an Aperol Spritz.

I deferred Dd hence why she's a 3rd year teacher born in 2000.
Lidlfix · 13/05/2021 19:42

Oh the bitter orangey loveliness of an Aperol Spritz. If, like me, you enjoy diluting alcohol with more alcohol it is worth a try for an Italian glamorous vibe. Parenting fail (one of countless) DD4 taking a big swig thinking it was Irn Bru.

WouldBeGood · 13/05/2021 19:45

@Lidlfix yes, alcohol with alcohol is my thing!

Love the irn bru oops 😂

I also can't really comprehend the 90's being 30 years ago either. We drove past the local vaccination hub this week and I mused that the queue outside was probably the same people who waited in line together to get into our local disco - 3 decades ago.

ScotlandUnited · 13/05/2021 19:55

Increase in cases in Glasgow is concerning. Will Glasgow stay in / return to tier 3?
