We're allowed out from Friday 😀

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 13/04/2021 13:13

I can't even bring myself to go find out the levels. Went to park started raining so at home on tablets and I am just sitting here thinking about the shell of a person I have become

Coquohvan · 13/04/2021 13:18

Yeah lakes break allowed for us then on the 26th.
No gyms opening earlier, too much to hope for I suppose.

rookiemere · 13/04/2021 13:26

@Coquohvan I suspect it's probably too late to make changes to gym and hospitality opening dates at this stage with 26th April being the date they were all working to already.

runningpink · 13/04/2021 13:31

@IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 Have sent you a wee PM

shouldistop · 13/04/2021 13:32

@IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 Thanks

DeepfriedPizza · 13/04/2021 13:39

17th May is my wedding anniversary. We don't usually do anything but we might just have to as i'll be able to get a glass of wine at dinner.

You will get back there I know it doesn't feel like it right now, your already taking positive steps. Have someone in RL over in the house for a cup of tea and a chat it really can makes such a difference. Flowers
ResilienceWanker · 13/04/2021 13:48

Thanks for the new thread! Yes - still lots of railing needed. I want to see the new tables to see what tiers minus 1 and so on look like! Given tier 0 is basically "no covid" - We're going to magic up negative covid maybe?

isurvive Sorry you're feeling down Flowers

shouldistop yes, I think that should put an end to the ridiculous limits on who is Allowed to visit the tigers and pandas. The zoo is definitely socialising/ exercise (that hill...) so the animals will now no longer be at risk from the dirty non-edinburgh denizens.

Coquohvan · 13/04/2021 14:07

Yes @rookiemere agree, we’re almost finished with DD’s opening up list, though it would have be a bonus for DD to get an additional weeks income.

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 13/04/2021 14:16

Would love to know when public loos will reopen. Without them, many of us won't be going far Confused

(yes I realise this is relatively trivial. Sending strength to those who really need it.)

Our council has kept a few open some will probably be weekend only and some won't be open at all. With the increased cleaning frequency required and no money in LA budgets to hire more people to do it they are having to do strategic openings. So some are likely to remain shut.

Yup. Me and my dicky bladder have the same question. Grin

I pop into supermarkets for peeing purposes but I do live in quite a populous area

Their toilets, that is, not just the shop floor

It's levels not tiers, tiers were English!
Just the excitement of leaving the local authority boundary is enough for me today :) Now where to go......

Ha!! I've been in supermarkets where that isn't necessarily a given...

Their Sunday name is "local protection levels". But on scotsnet they are tiers. Always have been, always will be. Them's the rules Grin
DeepfriedPizza · 13/04/2021 15:02

Troon Beach's public toilets are open. Maybe we should start a thread of local attractions with open toilets

shouldistop · 13/04/2021 15:06

@DeepfriedPizza the first warm day I'm taking the boys to Troon beach. Maybe we'll get the train through and make an adventure of it Smile
Last summer we went twice and ds1 had to shower under that freezing cold shower at the toilet blocks because he was coated in sand, he wasn't too pleased Grin

RedactedTaeFeck · 13/04/2021 15:16

I went to Dobbies today, it is in my council area.

I thought I'd tidy up my outside pots (currently full of dead plants) and get some new plants to give m a nice wee activity to cheer myself up.

The bedding type plants were shit. Little variety, a lot of "trailing" ones which aren't what I need and the others very poorly taken care of, dried up, wilted, dead and very expensive. Came home with nothing. That was a waste of a trip.

There was an app for lockdown loos last year. Don’t know if it’s still going!

Edinburgh's open public toilets are on the council website: www.edinburgh.gov.uk/leisure-sport-culture/public-toilets/1
Botanic gardens and the zoo are open but for pre-booking only.
Lauriston castle toilets were closed last time I was there. Other than the supermarkets I'm not aware of any others.

shouldistop · 13/04/2021 15:58

The toilets at botanic gardens in Glasgow are open too

dementedma · 13/04/2021 16:22

With all this opening up going on, I want to know WHEN THE FUCK office workers can return to their Covid compliant workplaces and stop having to work from our bedrooms and kitchens??????

This week I have been up close and personal with a physio and a hairdresser, been to supermarket and other shops, been to garden centre. But I STILL can’t sit in my office!!!!!
