Ok am spending a small fortune on zoo membership Smile

Groovee · 31/03/2021 06:57

I'm finished work for the holidays. 20 days of Mr G asking my every move (so much so at the weekend I sent him a photo of the toilet contents to get him to stop it).

Got a few walks booked too.

Lockdownbear · 31/03/2021 07:36

@rookiemere I totally agree a bit of relaxation of the rules for Easter would have done wonders for MH.
Lifting the travel ban would have been a good start. Allow people to book outdoor attractions across the central belt. And go to different parks and places for a day out.

Let places like the Zoo's and Safari parks get a real turnover boost. Clearly their animal's have still needed looking after so they won't have been able to furlough loads of staff.

Arrrrrr!

riverrunning · 31/03/2021 07:59

In the first lockdown we went 5.5 miles to a small town on the fringes of Edinburgh for a picnic and some miserable local had a go at us - this was my only experience with rule breaking.

Happy Easter....

@Groovee 😂

Good luck.

Groovee WineGin. My DH is off for 10 days from Friday. If he wasn't able to go out on his bike or throw himself into garden work he would do my head right in. The Feb break when I was WFH and he was off was bad enough, 20 days though...

shouldistop · 31/03/2021 14:10

My DH is just off Friday & Monday but I'm rejoicing as it gives me a hand with the kids. We have lots of nice plans for the weekend.
MIL & BIL round for a bbq on Friday, a farm park on Saturday, Easter egg hunt etc Sunday, meeting cousins at the park on Monday morning then birthday cake in my mums garden on Monday afternoon.
First weekend I've really looked forward to in a while. Hope it stays dry!

Groovee · 31/03/2021 14:16

We fell out by 10am😂😂. I'm off into work to pick up the plants so they won't die over the holidays.

WouldbeGood go and enjoy.

Groove could you not do the same?
A weekend away might do you MrG the world of good.

We were meant to be having a week off, but DHs work has got in the way, looking to have a weekend away at beginning of May instead.

jerometheturnipking · 31/03/2021 23:57

Edinburgh Zoo confirmed this evening that they’ll be doing postcode checks on entry and turning away anyone who doesn’t live in Edinburgh city. I wonder if other attractions will do the same.

shouldistop · 01/04/2021 06:52

People will just give an Edinburgh post code surely? Especially now they've pre-warned folk. Blairdrummond have said it's for the police to enforce when someone asked them.

Groovee · 01/04/2021 07:31

Reluctant to go away with this blooming drain still in. However I am considering playing an April fools on him saying his bag leaked 😂

Lockdownbear · 01/04/2021 07:35

Checks suggest you need to memorize the address as well as the postcode.

Edinburgh Zoo being in the city, and one of the few places open can probably fill up on just locals.

Blair Drummond probably doesn't have that same luxury and needs to draw its visitors from across the central belt.
