@snowcoveredcampsies I was just trying to politely tell you you're a bit patronising Grin
No spoons don't worry.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 22/03/2021 21:49

I hope that wasn't one of the teachers.Sad

snowcoveredcampsies · 22/03/2021 21:49

@WouldBeGood I hope that you reported it.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 22/03/2021 21:50

Wow I didn't know that cis thanks.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 22/03/2021 21:50

I suppose that explains the obsession with Tories Grin.

UnderHisAye · 22/03/2021 21:51

@RaindropsSplashRainbows

I have read generalisations about "Scotsnet posters " as if the snp supporters are not themselves Mumsnet/ Scotsnet posters.

In fact your post UnderHisAye does just that which is in and if itself a bit odd.

Ok, let's be pedantic about this then.

I'm talking about the majority of posters on this board; the overwhelming sentiment on here is anti-SNP.

@Scottishskifun yes that's the kind of thing I'm talking about but from the other side. I'm pro Indy but sort of tepidly SNP because practicality dictates they're the only party to get me there.

But all I hear is that if we're still pro Indy we must be stupid, we're cybernats, in the cult of Saint Nic and all that reductive childish kind of shite.

It just makes those who post it sound really thick.

Yes probably.

It's just very frustrating to be accused of telling people what to think when it's quite frankly impossible and all I'm doing is disagreeing.

WouldBeGood · 22/03/2021 21:51

No, @snowcoveredcampsies it’s just people who have to resort to abuse when they have nothing sensible to say.

StarryEyeSurprise · 22/03/2021 21:51

It wasn't. Don't you worry. 😇

One of the teachers? Well that's a strange turn of phrase.
snowcoveredcampsies · 22/03/2021 21:53

@WouldBeGood yes I've been on the receiving end of that many times. People resort to all sorts when they don't have a valid point to make.

WouldBeGood · 22/03/2021 21:54

I’m anti SNP because of their treatment of women. I have no party allegiance but am a socialist more than anything ever. I look at each policy of a party and think about it.

The blind acceptance of everything the SNP does by some people I find curious.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 22/03/2021 21:55

I must disagree that it's anti SNP overall.

I have actually voted SNP in the past! I won't again.

However I'm not an adherent of any party.
Tbh I see some fairly relentless SNP posters here who continually post links to as they see it pro Scottish government articles / stats.

They are either Scotsnet posters or missionaries to the benighted.😄

snowcoveredcampsies · 22/03/2021 21:56

There's no blind acceptance from me as I've stated time and time again. In fact, there's no blind acceptance from any SNP supporter I've seen post on MN but hey ho let's not let the truth get in the way!

WouldBeGood · 22/03/2021 21:57

@RaindropsSplashRainbows yes.

StarryEyeSurprise · 22/03/2021 21:58

Blind acceptance?! Pull the other one. 😂

Wow, it's very very different from my perspective!

I've voted for every party except Tory in my life so i don't think I'm a very biased source, and I think there are maybe three outwardly pro-SNP posters on here who are clinging on to Scotsnet like barnacles on a rock. They're fairly obviously unwelcome but hey,
it's Scotsnet, not Anti-SNPnet.

fluffyugg · 22/03/2021 22:02

Overall, I'd say it's very anti SNP here.

StarryEyeSurprise · 22/03/2021 22:02

Hard to believe that this all started because I wrote that I hope RD will now focus on something other than the inquiry into the AS investigation.

snowcoveredcampsies · 22/03/2021 22:03

@UnderHisAye 🤣 that made me laugh yes! Unwelcome barnacle is right!

WouldBeGood · 22/03/2021 22:04

I’m hoping NS might focus on something else 🤷🏻‍♀️

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 22/03/2021 22:05

People moan about those that rule them. It was ever thus.

WouldBeGood · 22/03/2021 22:06

I’d really like it if there could be nuanced discussion with pro Indy/SNP people but it never works. There’s loads on Twitter who are not happy with NS and the corruption, but none on here?

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 22/03/2021 22:06

It's the price of success for the SNP.

WouldBeGood · 22/03/2021 22:07

Got to be able to moan about the government 🤷🏻‍♀️
