For all of us on Scotsnet who need to lose the lockdown weight!

I am going to restart slimming world tomorrow.

Got my food diary that I haven't used yet

So we can inspire each other regardless of which diet we are doing.

Ffs last night the door went and my husband had secretly ordered lots of Domino's cookies to be delivered as a Saturday treat for me and the kids 😬 Disastrous.

Aiming to be better today. Me and my daughter walk with our best pals on a Sunday (I'm best pals with the mum, and our daughters are best pals too). We usually do about 13000 steps so I can try walk off these cookies.

well I stayed the same this week. Disappointed as I tried very hard. Hopefully this week will be more positive if I am giving 16/8 a try. Will also try to walk more etc.

I'm trying 5:2 for the first time and my weight is going up and down all the time. I'm getting quite depressed as I'm starving and miserable on my fasting days, which I could cope with if it was giving good results.

Not weighing myself but do feel my clothes are looser. Had a tiny portion of the pudding everyone else was having after dinner yesterday. It seems to be working if I do this, depriving myself would just end in failure. Not eaten biscuits or crisps for a week now so doing really well. Drinking chilled water from a water bottle so I don't feel tempted to snack. I find staying away from rest of the family works well in the evenings as I don't get tempted to eat rubbish. It's hard work really focusing on eating well 😫

Genuine disaster today. Got up and made scones for breakfast. Went for a walk and had an ice cream. Have baked BROWNIES. having lamb meatballs with pitta, salad, yoghurt for dinner.

I am due my period any second. But still. 11k steps today.

we've all had disasters on our journeys. The fact Scotsnet Slimming isn't aligned to any particular diet means we are allowed to have slip ups and fuck it moments! We're all human. Just try again tomorrow :)

Last week I was terribly upset and haven’t been caring much, as well as exhausted. So I’m going to try again tomorrow!! Think going to go with calorie counting.

I’ll check in.. the thread does make me think on it!

well I stayed the same weight wise so a joint arse kicking needed. I did think I had tried really hard though but not hard enough it seems.

Watching dancing on ice. I really miss ice skating. They closed all the ice rinks though - finnieston, st enoch etc - I used to go all the time.

@RaraRachael I tried 5:2 when it became popular by Michael Mosley but I just couldn't cope with just eating 500 calories, even twice a week. I could manage 800- 1000 calories at a push but couldn't do it every day. It made me more bad tempered than normal! 😂.

I looked at social media pages and they were so strict, you couldn't go over the 500 calories or it wasn't a proper fast etc. I know some people do it but I just couldn't, was miserable as well and it wasn't fair on the family.

We all have days we fall off the wagon, as jabba says just start again tomorrow. It's a new day.

Can I join? The lockdown weight has been creeping on but today I weighed and I'm
2 stone heavier than my happy weight 🤦🏻‍♀️

So calorie counting, 16-8 and couch 2 5K recommences

I managed 4000 steps yesterday - this is about 3500 more than usual. I'm going for the small nudges theory of cutting back it seems. Doing a bit better...

Been okay so far. Not finding 16/8 too bad, only on day 2 though. Also doing SW alongside it.

Toast with skinny chocolate spread, tea, roast beef sandwich for lunch, aldi skinny burgers with SW chips for tea, couple of mint matchmakers. All within my syn allowance.

Also did a short walk with the dog for fresh air.

Treadmill plod/jog and dog walk today. Over 10,000 steps my fitness thing tells me, though I think it’s optimistic.

Eating not dreadful. Feeling better for having got off my arse a bit more this past week.

Mini magnum
Stir-fry (heavy on the veg) for tea
I'll probably have a brownie later

Not had a bad day today, but did have a chippy yesterday!

Today was coffee for breakfast (doing 16:8 along with sw), bowl of retried beans for lunch (not actually fried!) and then chicken and sw chips with salad for tea. Syns have gone on a glass of wine.

3K walk today

No breakfast

Lunch was chicken and spinach omelette
Grapes and banana

Dinner was falafels, sweet potato wedges and veg

Snacks was bell pepper and cheese, rice cake, blueberries, quavers

I'm still feeling miserable. Bloody jeans don't fit. 3 pairs I couldn't get past my knees!

I need to keep on this diet and kick ass into gear.
