For all of us on Scotsnet who need to lose the lockdown weight!

I am going to restart slimming world tomorrow.

Got my food diary that I haven't used yet

So we can inspire each other regardless of which diet we are doing.

I’m in. I started the fast 800 three weeks ago. Lost 8 pounds in first two weeks and have 3rd weigh in tomorrow. Finding it tough though and have lots to lose, So I need all the motivation I can get!

hilbil21 · 21/02/2021 23:19

Rick Bhuller walking workouts on YouTube are very good for anyone who just wants to up their steps. Nutracheck is also much better than MFP as an app to count calories I've found.

jabbathebutt · 22/02/2021 07:40

on youtube I tend to search for a song I like and dance choreography

So for example "justin timberlake, can't stop the feeling, dance choreography"

Some good videos come up and you can subscribe to the dancers to find examples.

I also follow just dance on youtube.

Welcome @weegiemum I am also disabled although mostly sensory rather than mobility. It does impact my ability to go to slimming clubs and exercise classes though and I need a sympathetic instructor or consultant!

Can you not do SW online?

Anyway, today I am having toast and tea for breakfast (brown bread and milk from allowance). Lentil soup for lunch, and aldi burgers (low syn) with SW chips (syn free) for tea!

Not sure about snacks yet. Need to be v good.

First day in my new job. Got a 2 hour zoom call over lunch. I mean who does that? lol

@weegiemum you sound like a great cook. Please post some of your veggie recipes if you have time.

This morning I forgot I was meant to be dieting Blush had 2 rather large pancakes for breakfast instead of the porridge and fruit I had decided on. In my defence I've been awake since 5.30 and held off til 7.15am to eat. I'm going out for a walk this morning so at least I'll avoid snacking.

DeepfriedPizza · 22/02/2021 08:25

I am in but I am not doing a plan. I already run 3-4 times a week so I am going to make sure I do a dog walk or an online class on the other days.

I also fell into a habit of eating sandwiches and crisps for lunch so I am going to make a new type of salad every week and a new veggie soup then interchange those each lunch time.

I think I have 1 stone to lose but I am not weighing as I have a tendancy to get obsessive.

anon444877 · 22/02/2021 09:33

me too deep, it's better to try for long term changes and feeling a bit better in a nebulous sense here too if you're like me and will have a good or bad day based on fairly arbitrary numbers and then waste time looking at BMI calculator graphs. And yes to the oooh must have crisps or a cake after lunch.

WouldBeGood · 22/02/2021 09:45

Right.. off to the treadmill though not feeling it!

HoneyBeeGood · 22/02/2021 11:27

I did a long walk today and will have a lunch of homemade soup. Dutifully putting everything in MFP!

DeepfriedPizza · 22/02/2021 11:33

I have a huge problem with crisps. Between DH and I we ate 4 sharing bags of crisps over Friday/Saturday. I need to stop buying the share bags.

shouldistop · 22/02/2021 13:09

I walked for about 90 minutes pushing the pram.

Haven't done great with food although I did skip having my second breakfast at least Blush
Had 2 pancakes for breakfast, 2 chicken & hummus wraps plus rather a lot of chocolate for lunch.

I'm going to try my hardest not to to eat til dinner now. We're having chilli.

Forgot to weigh myself this morning so I think I'll just make gradual changes this week then start when ds turns 12 weeks on Friday and make Friday my weigh in day.

WouldBeGood · 22/02/2021 13:21

Old woman jog done.. hard going today. 16:8 going ok for first day though it’s not the mornings I struggle with.

applesandpears33 · 22/02/2021 13:31

I wish I could check myself into a rather nice spa where chefs made delicious low calorie meals.

anon444877 · 22/02/2021 13:46

deep my dd tried to pick up a share bag this weekend, definitely too much temptation. Managed a small lunchtime walk - first in about 5 months at least!

DeepfriedPizza · 22/02/2021 13:51

I had porridge for breakfast. Soup and a wrap for lunch.

We did a 40 min dog walk. No crisps yet

Checking in to the Slimming Group. Great timing as my 16:8 combined with WW restarted today. Have been off the wagon since Christmas and have 2 stones to lose. Three would be even better for some leeway.

I felt intermittent fasting boosted my weight loss last year and find it’s not an issue to go to 1 or 2pm before eating as long as I have my (several cups of) morning tea. I do put a splash of skimmed milk in. I have 8pm as my cut off point but afternoons are my hardest to avoid temptation.

Friday weigh ins for me and just use the WW app. Have just renewed my annual subscription with a special offer so am determined not to waste it. I will reach goal this year!

blowinahoolie · 22/02/2021 14:50

Hope everyone is enjoying this weather and it helps to stay motivatedSmile

Been out for over an hour this morning with DPup and 10yo DS walking. Meant I wasn't around kitchen snacking! Haven't had any snacks at all, been tidying up after lunch. All floors cleaned after the walk.

Wee ones will be home from nursery soon. DH collecting. Has been blissful 🙌

Oh, that sounds delicious (and something that makes a feature of burnt food is my kinda recipe). Thanks!
jabbathebutt · 22/02/2021 17:00

Right so today so far I've had

toast, tea, soup, two 99 flakes (4 syns), one mini cake (2 syns), a hot chocolate (8 syns) taking me to 14 syns so far with 1 left over.

Burger and chips for tea tonight - burger is low fat - half a syn,, chips are free.

I did my “run” and took dogs out which was actually nice as it was sunny.

jabbathebutt · 22/02/2021 17:37

well we all need to get stuck into the weight loss anyway if we are all back to normal come June!

WouldBeGood · 22/02/2021 17:44

The thought of an actual holiday is an incentive!

anon444877 · 22/02/2021 17:45

Not a bad day food wise, a small ice-cream for pudding but considerably better than previous days.
