Are you happy?

We've gone from SNP to Tory by a massive 10,000 votes. i voted Tory for the first time to out SNP. I have no interest in indyref2. I had to vote tactically and I think 10,000 others may have done the same.

Went from snp to lib dem in the area I'm in. I'm happy, I voted tactically as well as I don't want another indy ref either. If I was having to vote for actual policies and not tactically I would have voted differently (although still not snp).

Justmuddlingalong · 09/06/2017 06:10

On 3rd recount, still waiting...

Chattermummy · 09/06/2017 06:10

Tory, don't know how much they won by I'm just shocked that so many Scottish people have voted Tory. I don't want another Indy ref 2, now is definitely not the right time, but I do not believe the tories care one little dot about Scotland

Dailystuck71 · 09/06/2017 06:10

Are you Glenrothes Justmuddling? My Facebook said there is 1 vote in it apparently?

Justmuddlingalong · 09/06/2017 06:13

Yes, round about that neck of the woods, Dailystuck71. Was 3 votes in it at an earlier count, now quoting 1 vote.

Dailystuck71 · 09/06/2017 06:15

Blimey, that's close!

I can't vote in GEs.

Argyll&Bute kept the SNP MP (who I wouldn't recognize if I'd met him on the street) but he lost 8.3% and the Conservative candidate came pretty close. 36% SNP, 33.2 Con (+18.3%), 18.2% LibDem, 12.6 % Labour.
I'm happy about the clear anti-indyref message in that result.

Calyx72 · 09/06/2017 06:21

Well there's still an SNP majority Smile

CaptainWarbeck · 09/06/2017 06:25

SNP hold for mine, although increased vote share for both Labour and Tory. Tories were never going to come close to winning it. I voted Labour and was pleased the support was reflected in the vote share. I voted SNP in 2015 so was happy whether it went SNP or Labour really.

StoorieHoose · 09/06/2017 06:26

Went from SNP to Tory with a majority of about 120

Justmuddlingalong · 09/06/2017 06:32

2 votes in it in Fife. SNP hold even with an 8% loss. Disappointed.

Vicina · 09/06/2017 06:35

Mine stayed SNP which is no surprise but with a reduced majority.

The stronger Tory vote is the result of tactical voting and Ruth Davidson's feisty performances I assume. The No voters have got their act together.

Justmuddlingalong · 09/06/2017 06:41

LD candidate suggesting they may challenge the result. 4 counts in total, 2 wins for the SNP, 2 for the LD.

insancerre · 09/06/2017 06:44

Tory majority
Again
sigh

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2017 06:45

The stupidity to vote a new party to avoid another referendum is just ridiculous. You just vote NO if you dont want to split. Ffs.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 09/06/2017 06:47

Ruth Davidson was the biggest winner of all last night.

Some of those swings were huge.

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 09/06/2017 06:47

Mine went from SNP to LibDem. It had been a LibDem seat historically until the last election. I am shocked that so many people have voted conservative in Scotland.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 09/06/2017 06:48

Lib dem from SNP but interestingly their vote remained pretty constant but the Tories gained 10pc from the snp so that tipped the balance. I'm glad as we voted to send a message of no indeyref2. Chances of Sturgeon taking this message are probably slim though Sad

theflickyones · 09/06/2017 06:50

SNP to Tory here.

SciFiFan2015 · 09/06/2017 06:51

Labour won took the seat from SNP. I'm delighted but shocked!
I voted based on policies (not tactically) I was convinced that we'd stay SNP.

Redglitter · 09/06/2017 06:53

Unfortunately ours remained SNP

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2017 06:54

OP...You say you voted tactfully but why didn't you vote labour along with the other 10k you mention? What were the votes for labour and tory?

MacarenaFerreiro · 09/06/2017 06:58

Jo Swinson won my seat back and I am absolutely delighted for her. She was a strong MP last time and will do a good job again I'm sure.

Not a good night for the SNP. Peak Nat been and gone.

RebootYourEngine · 09/06/2017 06:58

Ours moved from snp to tory. The snp candidate had been in that seat for a long time. He is a smug bastard but id rather him than the Tories.

I didnt vote for either of those two.

MorrisZapp · 09/06/2017 07:01

Our Labour guy kept his seat and I'm delighted he has some new pals too. What a night.
