Is erotic incest literature considered PORN?

I would just like to hear as many views as i can about whether erotic literature of this type is considered porn. Its something i have discovered on my OH's phone. I don't know what to think as he says its nothing and just something he was reading cos he was bored and lonely.
But the page he had bookmarked was a story about Mother and Son incest. I felt abit sick really.

It's "who's the daddy" in this household, not "your" - definitely not used in that context. Eurgh.

Another defence of Literotica here...it does NOT allow stories about anyone under age.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 10/06/2010 21:46

I can't even bring myself to think of my parents having sex with each other, let alone fantasising about..

No. I have to stop there. I feel a bit queasy.

Alouiseg · 10/06/2010 21:46

I dont select by "most read". Which is why it hasn't hit my radar.

The bonus with words over visuals is that you can get the general direction with words whereas a picture is burned in to your retinas. You can stop reading if you don't like the direction that a story is going in. Not an option with jpegs.

Thanks guys for the replies....if i am completely honest. I am disgusted, simple.
I know that he was into porn from the beginning whereas myself I don't really feel the need for that. I thought it was a 'man' thing so tried to accept it as much as i hated him viewing it.
This is much worse, totally unnacceptable. His mother [eugh].
I didn't want to say completely what i felt cos i thought i may be abit of a prude and overreacting.
The thing is that he himself is calling it gross, but at the same time he was reading it.
I was shocked to read just the titles of the stories, eg 'forced incest', 'brother and sister', 'mother and son' (his fave) etc.

I thought you were questionning whether or not it was porn?

shabs14 · 10/06/2010 22:10

Ok maybe i was still in shock so wasn't able to word myself properly. What i meant was porn in the sense 'that is it normal, acceptable'. etc

Well this is a relief to know that there is nothing wrong with me. Phew..
He is trying to play it down, cos he doesn't want me to make it into an 'issue'.

^Huh????

harpsichordcarrier · 10/06/2010 22:20

hmmmm, well. I hesitate to step into this orgy of agreement but....
incest is a very common fantasy
sexual fantasy is not the same thing as actually desiring this kind of sexual contact and seeking it out.
it is porn as in - it is intended to arouse and produce desire.
I think judging other peoples' fantasies is a bit impertinent
sexual desire is a complex thing
ditching a bloke because of thoughts in his head?? really???

ladysybil · 10/06/2010 22:21

its porn, and its vile.

harpsichordcarrier · 10/06/2010 22:22

I honestly don't think that reading about fantasies is representative of a problem is it? really?
gosh I am surprised...

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 10/06/2010 22:23

Well, incest is different from other fantasies surely because it's illegal?

I can honestly say that incest does not, and has never, featured in any of my fantasies. Is it really common??
