I have just GOT to tell somebody!

I have been married 8 years and was told before the marriage that I could never have children. So no contraception for all this time. But I missed my last two periods and the doctor told me today that I am 100% certainly expecting a baby!!

My husband is currently on a plane to Singapore but he now knows the brilliant news. Mumsnetters can be the second to know bacause I have lurked her for so long.

I am so excited!!!!!

UPDATE - MESSAGES FROM MUMMY

Baby Jasmine is now 3 days old and is a placid little soul.

Her Granddad thinks Jasmine looks just like her Mum did at that age.

Never in the course of human history has so much chocolate been eaten by one person so quickly.

Three cheers for "Granny Pants", Maternity Pads and owning your own pillow!

From Jasmine's very proud Dad Smile

PS - Mum was very brave, no screams at all during labour but she used some words I didn't know she knew!

Jasmine and I are safely home from hospital. Grin She is asleep are the moment with my Dad watching over her.

Jasmine seems a very placid baby and she doesn't cry very much which is nice. I am so hungry all the time that I am just going to have to have an early tea, followed by a late tea with the family.

I am still feeling a bit battered "downstairs" and I seem to have two beachballs attached to my chest. Apart from that I'm fine.

DH has printed off this thread for Jasmine to read when she gets older. We are both very grateful for the support people here have given us.
