Told I could never have children - Wrong!

I have just GOT to tell somebody!

I have been married 8 years and was told before the marriage that I could never have children. So no contraception for all this time. But I missed my last two periods and the doctor told me today that I am 100% certainly expecting a baby!!

My husband is currently on a plane to Singapore but he now knows the brilliant news. Mumsnetters can be the second to know bacause I have lurked her for so long.

I am so excited!!!!!

About three weeks to go in theory but the midwife thinks I am about ready to "pop". I feel like and look like a balloon but when I swap notes with other mums-to-be I have had a very easy time of it.

Everything is packed ready to go when contractions start and the nursery is ready for when I come home. I have given DH strict instructions to let leaders here know when something exciting happens. Jasmine sends a loving(?) wriggle to all of you.

ShanahansRevenge · 03/12/2010 09:21

So lovely to hear nice news like this...congratultions and all my best wishes for the future great times you're going to have! I love it when this happens...my mate had damaged tubes after a bout of PID and they said she would need IVF but her chances were slim at 36....she decided to plan her wedding as a distraction and bingo! She went down the aisle 5 months pregnant!

She and her husband now have a lovley little boy!

Good luck to you Pitterpatter - can't wait for the birth announcement.

My cousin was just above to start IVF and had borrowed the money from my aunt to pay for it, when she conceived naturally. She told everyone on Christmas Day, it was so lovely.

Baby Jasmine was born this morning at 10:58.

She weighed 3.2kg.

This thread has made me feel all warm and glowy inside. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Pitterpatter on the arrival of your daughter. What an unbelievable blessing.

I've got my own Miracle child in front of me, 9 now, playing football in the house with her dad (Bad, I know but she's a complete delight and we have so much fun together).

I wish you and and your new family all the happiness in the world. Have a great first Christmas together.
