Dearly Be-Chucked, we are gathered here today because, for whatever reason, our man has dumped us!

i keep telling myself that I am not a hoarder but every few months or so all the stuff seems to creep up on me and wardrobes, drawers etc... are full to the brim.

Keep with the clearing out. Finding all that cash is amazing - I get excited if i find a quid in an old purse

I & DH used to do a lot of carboots - sold all baby stuff at those and did really well - lots of dosh to buy new stuff to hoard

Clearing out is good for the soul - especially if you give clothes, goods to charity etc.... just think of the good it will do - plus you may find something of DH's that you can take great delight in destroying... I have earmarked several items for the bbq already

pinksmarties · 18/04/2010 21:32

Starting, the persuit of sex leads to disapointment and a messed up head (imho)

The persuit of a clearout however can result in finding £210 and a nice pair of boots. I know what I'd rather have and it's not some sweaty oaf trying to get his end away.

Keep going, it always gets worse before it gets better. Just do a bit at a time though, not all at once or you'll feel like taking a match to it all.

Moviegirl is wright, at the bbq.

If on the other hand you know a nice looking bloke who's gagging to shag you then of course the clearing out can be put on tempery hold.

startingovernow · 18/04/2010 22:09

Just collapsed onto sofa after giving hoover a run aroung, clearing up & making lunches. Thank you so much Pink & Movie for that motivation. Pink you gave me a good about clearing being better than the persuit of sex. Will keep on track.

Normally I do two big clearouts every year but I've just figured I did a partial one before xmas but the last really good one I did must be well over 12mts ago. The £210 was a great bonus & I forgot to post that I found £50 last week, so I'm actually getting rich doing this . Oh, and I found £70 in the attic a few wks ago, believe that or not!

P.S. while doing clearout I listened to lovely music on exh's ipod that he's wondering do I have .

Evening Happy, .

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 18/04/2010 22:40

Evening, those flights look a little cheaper don't they when you've found all that dosh , or a weekend away somewhere sunny or perhaps a nice Beauty treatment!

My hands are dry after all of the that gardening.

OP posts:
startingovernow · 18/04/2010 23:10

Beauty, are you still about?? We need some beauty tips to restore Happy's hands to their former glory . While we're at it does anyone know anything that would make my boobs grow back?? Anyone??

startingovernow · 18/04/2010 23:11

Maybe if I keep finding money I'll have enough for a boob job .........

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 18/04/2010 23:32

Where did they go? Were they stolen?

OP posts:
startingovernow · 18/04/2010 23:44

Sucked to death & I'm not referring to anything sexual !

teaandcakeplease · 19/04/2010 09:24

Know the feeling starting, mine are actually smaller since having children than before What's that all about?

I can't believe how you keep finding money! Did your H often keep cash about then?

startingovernow · 19/04/2010 09:45

Hi Tea, am glad I'm not the only one suffering in that dept . No, the money was actually mine, I've a habit of stashing money for emergiencies & then forgetting where I've put it . Mind you this was from my working days when I actually had any to stash!!

teaandcakeplease · 19/04/2010 09:48

Ahhh I see

Anything nice planned today?

startingovernow · 19/04/2010 09:53

Have just finished basic housework & am just having a break now & trying to motivate myself to go back & tackle wardropes again. My afternoon will be out & about doing activity drops & collections. How about you, are you doing anything nice today?

teaandcakeplease · 19/04/2010 09:58

Nothing at the moment planned but if the sun keeps shining I will definitely go to the park at the very least. My little man is quite tired though after a few busy days and is currently napping. So won't go far today as he'll need another nap later to catch up.

DD is watching Disney's Tarzan right now. She loves that film.

I ought to go and wash up at the very least

Feeling really happy last few days for some reason. Barely thought about H at all.

ChairmumMiaowGoingItAlone · 19/04/2010 10:01

tea - that's lovely to hear!

I failed to get some important paperwork done at the weekend due to computer failure at the office, so I've come in again while DS is at nursery, and now something else isn't working Like I have lots of time to myself to waste sitting in a dingy office not getting anything done.

Bah.

Ah well, DS and I will do something nice this afternoon after his nap I suspect.

starting - once those wardrobes are clear you'll feel very happy with yourself I think I'll do my kitchen windowsills this afternoon. Every room that gets tidy makes me smile a bit more, and there are only a few bits of clutter left in the kitchen!

startingovernow · 19/04/2010 10:04

Tea, that is fantastic news that you've had a few good days. As you go on the good days get more & more . I've less then 2 hrs now before collecting dd & ds so must get arse into gear again!

startingovernow · 19/04/2010 10:09

Chairmum, hope you manage to get computer sorted, I know how frustrating it can be my printer always waits till I have an assignment to print off at last minute to run out of ink!! I haven't even moved downstairs yet with my clearing / cleaning!

ChairmumMiaowGoingItAlone · 19/04/2010 10:15

All working now thankfully- got till the end of the week to get the paperwork in for my council tax benefit!

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 19/04/2010 18:36

Hi there
Waves to all.........
Another busy day today - Starting, I think the "right" bra is the solution .

OP posts:
startingovernow · 19/04/2010 20:36

Hi Happy, I've invested in a few of these but Happy it's a bit like false advertising, which is no prob unless someone wants to sample the goods!!

(Tea, I'd recommend these, they're the best I've found)

startingovernow · 19/04/2010 20:38

Actually my body is exactly like that .

ChairmumMiaowGoingItAlone · 19/04/2010 21:09

Evening all.

Starting - those bras look nice - trouble is before I got pregnant I was about a 42F ... I think they've gone down a bit since I lost some weight, but bra choices are definitely limited for me!

I have a DS free night so I've done all my cleaning, had a long soak in the bath and I've settled in bed with a bowl of ice cream watching the new glee. Lovely.

Was a bit sad earlier though Watching the baby have a little party in my tummy, and remembering how H used to play with DS when I was pregnant with him (he used to poke, DS used to kick/poke back). I don't know how its going to be with the baby, but it won't be the same as it was with DS, and he has such a wonderful bond with him

Still, chin up, tits out. Sad is better than stressed.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 19/04/2010 21:22

Evening again

Chairmum - ice cream sounds lovely

Starting, I wouldn't worry, the right guy will want the real you, and won't care whether tits are out, in, up or down. But chin up tits out just in case

Waves to all - lurkers, feel free to join in.

OP posts:
startingovernow · 19/04/2010 21:22

Hi Chairmum, it is sad but I do think the fact that he has such a great bond with ds will mean that he will prob have the same with your new lo once it actually arrives. I know it doesn't take away from the sadness of it all. It is great that you are getting this time to get organised & to rest though.
