Just need to let off some angst here

I got dumped by a shithead man a few days ago

It's my birthday today, we were supposed to be spending it doing something together, time booked off etc

Instead, I'm plain old wallowing.

Please snap me out of it

Feel better for just writing it down

am taking a risk here but...

take a look here

there are good men out there

Katiekitty · 22/12/2009 21:03

And for everyone, every lovely person on that link, I really am happy for them! really, honestly and heart felt, things like this make me have hope.

But then I look at my own shit life and wonder and yet, I after being hit and thumped and dumped and chucked and husbands screwing about, still keeping the faith.

What next?

OP posts:
Spaceman · 22/12/2009 21:10

That's shit.

It's fecking horrible and I don't blame you for wallowing. The thing is it doesn't seem to matter what the circumstances of a break up are - heartache is heartache whether the man was a shit head or not.

I feel your pain by the way. I too am dealing with my own little trauma of late involving a man. I just want to feel normal again - take pleasure in day to day things again - and not have to deal with this crap.

Tizzyjacko · 22/12/2009 21:19

Katie I know you are sad but surely you don't have to be alone this christmas (unless you want to of course). We've got a newly single dad joining us because his ex (who doesn't celebrate in Christmas for religious reasons)says he can't see his kids and I would welcome any waifs and strays I could find quite honestly so long as they are willing to talk to my Mum and FIL and drink with me and DH.

Oh god, too many glasses of wine, but if I was your friend I'd want to know what had happened and would be glad to have you so long as you bring the midori and those left over vol au vents

Katiekitty · 22/12/2009 21:56

Midori and voul au vaunts? volnts? Midori? you say? what?

Katie - don't give up. The world is full of shits, but you don't have to be stuck to any of them.

I'm 102 years old quite a bit older than you, have been involved with met many of such shits, but have danced them all off and ended up with someone who is, quite frankly, rather lovely. And we got together when I was 40, so you've got a way to go!

But £9.99 for a bottle of Chablis? Round here you can get a bottle of what passes for vodka for £5.99. Am sending you some now.

Turn the music up, girl!

Katiekitty · 23/12/2009 00:57

Oohh yeah princessF I can go a bit of LOUD music right now

What you playing?

(the pricy chablis was much needed, ,life affirming)

Fl;owers I got look nice though: pink roses and irises)

rfeady to dance..come on..

Morning Kitty

you were a charming if slightly unstable drunk. Hope you feel ok this morning. I am at work but had to come on and see how you are. Have a fab christmas and i hope that in time that you come to realise that the best thing the shithead ever did was to walk away. Onwards and upwards........

Katiekitty · 23/12/2009 12:29

Aw, thank you Tizzy. I hope you have a good christmas too.

Onwards and upwards will be my new mantra! Look out world...

cornysxmasmuffmusic · 23/12/2009 12:31

My head hurts as well this morning and I hardly drank anything. I've just had a bigmac cure.

Katiekitty · 23/12/2009 12:39

Must have been that fancy pants Chablis what done it. That and nothing to eat all day.

(mention of junk food has sparked my interest, KK pinches a chip from Corny)

Thank you again to everyone for cheering me up (still too scared to re-read the thread in case of searing embarrassment)

OP posts:
VanillaSliceSliceBaby · 23/12/2009 13:34

no searing embarrassment at all!
it was an awesome party - I just wish I hadn't woken up under your sofa holding on to the empty baileys bottle in one hand and my tongue stuck to an ice tray.

WHen will I learn?.....

drlovesmincepies · 23/12/2009 15:06

hey Katie ! must have been a good party -> look at the state of Vanilia -> .
do you think she's looking a bit green ....lol .

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 23/12/2009 16:56

hi katie...you have no embarassing incidents to worry about...

oh, except the one where you demonstrated how to play God Save The Queen with fanny farts

seriously, stay around over Xmas and we will help to keep you going through the horrid lows you are bound to have..

Anniegetyourgun · 23/12/2009 17:15

Damn, looks like I missed a great party last night. Probably just as well though, as the Baileys would never have held out long enough if I'd got my mitts on it.

Katy, I recommend you eat sausages today. Fry 'em to a crisp and then stab 'em good and hard with the fork, that's the girl. Know what I'm saying?

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 23/12/2009 17:28

annie, I have never noticed how fabulous you are until today...

have a sausage

Anniegetyourgun · 23/12/2009 17:32
