.... I spoke to a mutual friend last night and I really want to tell him about it. Keep me busy as I know he doens't want to know. (emailed to say I had gossip and did he want to know, and no reply.) I am not going to email again. Keep me focused!!

Nab its not that people are battering you - believe me they arent. Can you imagine for one minute that you are a man. You have had an emotional affair, your wife has supported you and you come on and say "done really well but emailed her today". You would get a real roasting. Most people on here are tryng very hard to be tactful despte the fact that you did something really bad and if you were a man you would be absolutely caned for it on here. You cant really have thought everyone would be sympathetic. Well done tho for ignoring his email. Now block him or change email addresses and start a thread about something totally new - stop yourself talking about it endlessly - giving him headroom is a no no so you need to start forcing yourself to cut it out now.

NAB3lovelychildren · 14/01/2009 18:50

I didn't expect sympathy but tbh I didn't expect the kicking either as I didn't email him when I felt like I wanted too. I felt I had done something right!

I come back to answer people.

You all stop posting and I will.

Thanks all.

Have a lovely evening, Nab.
People get a bit "honest" because they care, seems to have worked

NAB3lovelychildren · 14/01/2009 18:59

Well, next time can they say nice things first!!!!

I completely claim a disclamer as I have drunk red wine on an empty stomach but I feel like this thread has had a good turn around.

OOH, I would love a glass of wine, lucky you.
Permesan Chicken sounds delish, I think we may have a smoked bacon and roasted pepper Cheats quiche (old slimmers world recipe), yum (not!).
Enjoy your wine and food

Lizzylou · 14/01/2009 19:03

Have you got any other mutual friends? If so you might consider avoiding them for a while too - you don't say if the mutual friend contacted you or vice versa.

It's a bit like everyone telling the alcoholic to pour their drink down the sink.

Bravo for doing it but if you did it for us and not because you wanted to, you've still a way to go iyswim.

Good luck.

NAB3lovelychildren · 14/01/2009 20:06

The friend who menmtioned him is married to my best long distant friend and wouldn't normally mention him.

I didn't do it for you. I did it for him and me and our other halves.
