Did the wife find out about your affair with a married man?

GenEx · Yesterday 23:05

It seems to be affair confessional central here tonight.

If you were an unmarried woman having an affair with a married man did he get away with it or did his wife find out?

I have no skin in the game - just nosiness about the hidden volume of secrets out there. And obviously anyone could write any old rubbish.

Thinking about it, I’ve been hit on many times by married men. I’m nothing (far from) special. Hmmm

I was separated.. and my husband’s (now) excuse.. she was having an affair.. but they had four kids… 18 years later and his and her marriage later, still attempting to weaponise the adult kids.. and now grandchildren..🙈… I am still the wicked witch of the west despite meeting him two years after he left…but mum still has the greatest pull and will always believe her narrative… to be fair my kids would always believe me about anything above their dad no matter what complete bllkxs.. because I was always there…

I have no idea what the story is here.

I’ve been having an affair with married man for almost 11 years. His wife hasn’t found out.

How can you be sure?

11 years - what do you want from it / him.

NC for this.

Yes, she did. She found out the week after we first went out, but we kept it going for 4 years and she found out several more times.

I was 18 and he was 32 when we met and when I look back I think wtf, how could I have done something so stupid. I was young and thought I was in love and believed all his crap about being abused by his wife. I lost my virginity to him and I always regretted that. He then dumped me when I was diagnosed with cancer and tried to get back when he saw I was through it but by that point I realised I’m not wasting my life on him any longer.

They got divorced a few years later and I wrote her a letter apologising for all the pain I caused her and all she wanted to know was whether my health was doing ok. She married and whenever she enters my mind, I sincerely wish she is happy.

That’s true. I know she’s suspected it over the years. But I think he’s convinced her I’ve had some sort of schoolgirl crush on him (there are 30 years between us). I think if she knew she’d have been at my door, as she has been for the women he’s had affairs with in the past (or at least the one she does know about).

Is he rich? 👀

Is he amazing in the sack?

WallaceinAnderland · Today 00:34

I've always thought the song Saving all my love is so sad. What a waste of a life -

A few stolen moments is all that we share
You've got your family and they need you there
Though I've tried to resist being last on your list
But no other man's gonna do
So I'm saving all my love for you
It's not very easy living all alone
My friends try and tell me find a man of my own
But each time I try, I just break down and cry
'Cause I'd rather be home feeling blue
So I'm saving all my love for you
You used to tell me we'd run away together
Love gives you the right to be free
You said be patient just wait a little longer
But that's just an old fantasy

Not rich. Not badly off by any stretch, but he definitely doesn’t buy me any presents or anything. There is no financial benefit.

Very good in the sack. I fancied him like mad and thoroughly enjoy his company.

That’s only if the woman is also not pursuing other men.

Sorry last question from me! Do you love him?

I think that dating other men is good, as the pp said, it would be sad if you were just at home waiting for him to see you

I do not love him, but I do care about him enormously.

I do love the man I am with and would never cheat on him ever with anyone else, although I am not married to him.
