Found condoms...I have had Mirena for 11 + years

So...I've had a Mirena in situ for 11+ years. Cleaning today-opened a random, unused cupboard (up v high & hard to reach) in the laundry room. Found a box..in it were a few of DH unworn Christmas jumpers, a tin of receipts and random objects inc a paper bag of 8 Skyn black packet condoms. UB 10/2026. Never ever known DH to use these even when we did use condoms. Many years ago....
Feel sick to my stomach.

If you found the condoms in his work bag or wash bag then it could possibly point to an affair or sleeping around with prostitutes.
if it is in a box with Christmas jumpers , it could be that (as another poster mentioned ),,he received it as a secret Santa .

Any teenagers or pre teens? Although I would expect them to hide condoms in rooms. I'm sorry but I'm thinking Occam's razor. If it was a secret Santa he would have probably either binned them or shown you, not stashed with some missing. They have a shelf life of approx 4 years so they may not be new.

He's away for work...want to speak to him in person. We have issues-don't we all, though? I do feel like he has a life outside of family life, he comes and goes a lot and uses work as his excuse. He was supposed to sort counselling at least twice in recent years. Never has...
And he always want more sex than he gets.

I'm not sure why condoms would have been in a white paper bag, with EXP date and SN written on the outside of the bag though. Or why they've been secreted. He has a bedside table, but we have 4 kids and our youngest is in our room a lot.

Ask any guy, posh wanks aren't a thing. I wouldn't be surprised if every guy hasn't tried it 'once', but given how they all complain how much sensation they miss out on while wearing them, you're not going to reduce the sensation with a condom.

Gently, OP, you may have another issue here. Nobody with 4 kids and a job is so time rich and cash poor as to go and get free condoms from a clinic to have their affairs. You can buy them for a few quid. But they are given after clinic treatment.

You need an STD check up.

Adding to this I have never known an std clinic give out anything as fancy as Skyns or even Durex tbh…

The packaging sounds like a clinic. I've known them have different brands. I agree I'm not sure why he would have gone here for them rather than the petrol station but maybe it was alongside a checkup. OP I get wanting to speak in person but would book one of your own regardless of what he says. Ask for the full bloods and swabs as you don't know whether there may have been a sex worker involved

If you buy condoms in bulk then they are often supplied with paper bags. The manufacturers assume that they're going to be split up.

I've always done it as it's much much cheaper even if you're not using that many condoms. I would buy 144 and then split the cost / order with a friend.

So the bag doesn't automatically mean he's been to a clinic. In your position though, I would be booking into a GUM clinic for a full check up.

Im really sorry OP my immediate thought when you said paper bag was also from a clinic. Our one used to use Skyns but admittedly we’re talking roughly ten years ago. Please get yourself tested at the earliest opportunity.
