Help me catch him

For all you master detectives out there....
NC for this one but longtime poster.

Long story short, I've suspected for a while that my partner of 18 months was lying to me about seeing another woman.

He's been behaving strangely in our communications all weekend, and my friend has just sent me an incriminating photo from the OW's social media.

Can anyone tell me where this place is? He's very manipulative and I suspect a master gaslighter, and unless I confront him with where I knew he was, I'll get nothing.

Help me catch him

Oh bless you. I don't know where it is but maybe a Google image search will?

Quveas · 05/06/2023 15:25

Derwentwater.

Whereisthesummer · 05/06/2023 15:26

Google image search brings up
lots of Lake District pages but not sure where abouts exactly sorry

Shoxfordian · 05/06/2023 15:26

Looks like the Lake District

Why go to all this effort to catch him? You don’t believe him; you think he’s cheating so break up

Quveas · 05/06/2023 15:25

Derwentwater.

This

@lastofthesmalltownplayboys thank you, I tried that but unfortunately I got not matches.

Admittedly I'm not very techy with things like that

Google says Lake District

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 05/06/2023 15:27

PM sent

SuperSange · 05/06/2023 15:27

How is it incriminating? I don't follow.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 05/06/2023 15:28

Quite possibly the Lake District.

Darkdarknight99 · 05/06/2023 15:28

@Quveas I thought Derwentwater to. There's also a stone, man-made 'viewpoint' just out of shot, looks around 3 and a half ft tall.

I obviously had to cut the OW from the photo I uploaded though.

Google says lake district cropped photo from All Trails

NewPinkJacket · 05/06/2023 15:28

But you describe him as very manipulative and a master gaslighter, so you'll be dumping him anyway I assume?

ruby1234 · 05/06/2023 15:29

Keswick, Lake District. That little island is on Derwentwater.

Darkdarknight99 · 05/06/2023 15:31

@SuperSange, it's incriminating as the unclipped photo shows him on holiday with another women.

When I thought he was at home with his elderly family members all weekend...

I am positive. I know the specific area - literally within yards - very well as I lived near there for a time and regularly walked the route that photo was taken on. And yes, there are viewpoints there too. If you know the area that view is unmistakable.

Darkdarknight99 · 05/06/2023 15:32

@NewPinkJacket I absolutely will. I just wanted to be fully armed when I confront him, as I'm sorry to say he's managed to wiggle his way out of things before.

Not this time

Well done catching him out OP, no flies on you!

Pansypotter123 · 05/06/2023 15:33

Can you see OW's social media too - how come your friend saw the photo?

Spottybluepyjamas · 05/06/2023 15:34

Does it matter where the photo is though? If he's in the pic with the OW, surely he's bang to rights no matter where it is! Sorry if I've missed something...

I guess maybe he might claim that he was where she thought and the OW is "just" some family member / old friend that he went for a walk with. But if he was supposed to be in Kent and he's in Keswick.....

That said, I don't think proof should be necessary. If you don't trust someone it is irrelevant whether they are lying or not - you need to dump them.

Darkdarknight99 · 05/06/2023 15:37

@Spottybluepyjamas it's only his dog in the photo, not him, so I wanted to make sure I ad as much solid information as I could when I confront him.

Kokopenny · 05/06/2023 15:39

Definitely Derwent water

HomeB · 05/06/2023 15:40

Stick Keswick in his satnav and see if he went there recently

Darkdarknight99 · 05/06/2023 15:41

Tbh, I've not felt comfortable with him recently, I've been feeling like he's not being honest with me about some things, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

An old mutual friend said a couple of months ago that she'd seen him out with another woman, but couldn't be 100% sure. Now this photo's come to light- without being too outing, she knows the woman and recognises his dog in the photo
