How old were you when you met the father/mother of your children?

Question is in the title really. It feels like until you're 26ish, people say you are too young for children. Then the narrative changes overnight, people ask if you are thinking about it. After 30, your 'clock is ticking'.

It's no one else's business but I can't be the only woman who panics about having left it too late, while not really knowing 100% if I evenn want kids - but worrying that by the time I do, if I do, it will be too late.

Met at 23, baby at 24 and split at 25. I'm 28 now and for health and personal reasons probably won't have any more. Now and then I do panic though if things change will it be too late, will the age gap be too big etc. No-one knows when the time is right other than you though. I get asked nearly daily if I'm planning anymore its exhausting.

I was 21, he was 22. Had our first when I was 26.

Sister was about 30 and had her first at 37.

I've never thought about this before but in hindsight, wow. I was so young and clueless.

25. But we didn't have kids til a decade later by which time he was in his late 40s. Life's complicated.

I was 29 when we met. But I actually him on tv much earlier than that as he was part of a family segment in a show his sister was in which followed Butlin's red coats.

We were both 31. Our son was born when I was 35

22, married at 27, first child at 32 (TTC since 30).

If time had been less on our side we'd have probably had kids earlier in the relationship.

First child 18, got together when I was 18. Pregnant at 19.

Second/third child met at 11, got together when I was 22. TTC at 28 but didn't get a sticky one until 30.

28 only because we had to wait for 15% interest rate to drop. We would have loved a baby at 26 . An ideal age imo . Still young but old enough to have got all our partying out of our system .

Together from 16, married at 22, child at 30.

Sometimes they don't move fast, I know a number of women who got strung along with the men who ran they fertilility clocks down. You just got lucky your bloke was on board.

Almost 28, married at 29, had fertility issues but had DC at 34 and 35.

Probably 12ish when we met but didn’t really know him then. Got together at 17 and had DD at 34.
