How old were you when you met the father/mother of your children?

Question is in the title really. It feels like until you're 26ish, people say you are too young for children. Then the narrative changes overnight, people ask if you are thinking about it. After 30, your 'clock is ticking'.

It's no one else's business but I can't be the only woman who panics about having left it too late, while not really knowing 100% if I evenn want kids - but worrying that by the time I do, if I do, it will be too late.

I was 29, he was 27.

24, first child 32

35. Had our daughter at 43 after a 7 year infertility/IVF journey.

33, and thought I had no time left. Moved in when I was 34, first DC at 36 (SC birthday 2 weeks after mine), 2nd DC at 37, 1 year later.

Having left EXDP at 40, I wish I'd waited longer to meet the absolute person, as with hindsight I'd seen him as "good enough".

I was 24 when we first met and got together. We had our first child when I was 34 and second at 39. I'm now 40.

16. Had first child at 30 (5 years after marriage) and second at 36.

Got pregnant almost 10 years later. However, we had talked about whether we wanted children right from the start (I'm firmly of the opinion that if it scares him off, well you haven't wasted any time...)

11, but not a couple until 25, DC at 34 after marriage

We met when I was 16, became friends and got together as a couple when I was 22. Didn’t start having kids until mid 30s though, too busy having fun.

I was about 16, we started going out when I was 17 and we're on off for a year. But have been continuously together since I was 18 and he was 19. We had our first when I was 28 and second at 31.

23 when we met, 25 when we moved into together. Didn't have kids until I was 37.

15. Then we were 'on a break' for 11 years 😂

19 but didn't have ds1 until I was 24.

Met at 17 and I had our first DC at 32 and 2nd DC at 35. I am now 36. Been together 20 years this year

Was 22 when I met my ex husband and had our child at 30

33 when I met my partner and I’m pregnant now at 38

33…. Now 3 years on, we have a baby and soon to be married.

18, but no kids until I was 30.
