The Rules:

  1. The first rule about the dating thread is don't talk about it with people you're dating.
  2. Develop a thick skin.
  3. Do not invest emotionally too soon.
  4. It's all BS until it actually happens.
  5. Trust your gut instinct.
  6. People vanishing, lying & being generally weird is not your fault.
  7. Know your worth.
  8. If it's not fun, stop.
  9. Loo update is mandatory.
10. No dating the thread. 11. Treat others as you'd like to be treated 12. Any relationship you have that could get ruined by having a conversation about your feelings, standards and/or expectations wasn't really stable enough to begin with 13. The things you choose to ignore/ tolerate now are the reasons you will break up in the future 14. OLD can get very time consuming. Keep doing other activities you enjoy.

Optional: Please give your irons (potential dates you are talking to) nicknames like Mr Scottish. Initials are allowed (Mr S) when you are an item

If you want to tag users on a mobile device, use the actual site in a browser rather than the app, I’m doing this via my iPhone’s browser and it tags fine.[/quote]

I'll try that, thank you.

Sadly the @ thing doesn't work - no magic when I start typing. That's why my 'tags' usually aren't, they're just half arsed attempts at highlighting a user name. Can also only DM via the site. Hate the site though, can never work out the chronology of posts, the app is great for that.

@BelladiMamma sounds like you have had a great few days with Mr Dublin!!

@WeWantTheFinestWines I'm definitely a believer that the feels can grow, especially if there is an emotional / intellectual connection to build on.

Thanks, I do sometimes think I am quite boring, and I probably am, I remember my Ex’s eyes used to glaze over sometimes when I started to explain things.
You have picked this up, and you are a stranger on the internet really 🙇‍♂️ Something I need to be aware of.

Just to make sure I have done a thorough job of boring you, here is picture of the fix.

That is beautiful work, and something to be proud of. I'm sure you're not boring at all - the right woman will appreciate your knowledge and wisdom.

See you all on the new thread.
