Team Ioan Gruffudd or Alice Evans?

BabyBearRus · 30/10/2021 00:47

I've been following the story around the breakup of Ioan and Alice. I haven't been a great fan of Alice in the past, but I do feel for her and her children right now. Who else thinks that Ioan has behaved atrociously to his family? According to his wife, he has been having an affair for a long while, and making her feel as though she was in the wrong for months.

I wish she had a sister or a close friend to tell her to stop and just hold her, this has so obviously made her ill.

LoekMa · 07/11/2021 14:48

@BarefootHippieChick

Viviennemary not just to make him feel guilty, presumably also to remind the other woman that he had a whole happy family before her, kind of a "I've got something you've not got", ie kids with him...just like her latest Instagram post is reminding her they were sleeping together and taking happy family shots even when he met Bianca.
Well there's nothing stopping him from having kids with his new partner should he choose to, she's still young enough for him to wrap up his divorce and get started on a family of their own. Also I'm sure new kids and a new family to support will throw a wrench in the whole lifelong spousal support fantasy..🤔

Hmm, new babies.....pretty sure that could throw a spanner into ( 50 ish ) IG's fantasies .....😁

ChequerBoard · 07/11/2021 14:55

Actually the spousal support is one thing she isn't wrong about.

As the divorce is happening California and it's a 10 year plus marriage, as the lower earning spouse she is actually eligible for spousal support 'for as long as he or she needs, and as long as the paying spouse can pay.'

Of course, she actually needs to let the divorce happen to get the spousal support...

Viviennemary · 07/11/2021 14:57

There is not an iota of evidence he is even having an affair. Never mind a long standing one.

Oh Lord, I hadn't seen the Instagram post mentioning still sleeping together 😑

No, I agree with you. I see her posts as a kind of one upmanship. Like, "You might have my husband but I'm the one who has kids with him" kind of thing. Or "he was still sleeping with me when he met you so you obviously weren't enough for him". That's why I think her recent posts are coming across as sad and desperate, just clutching at straws, and really not doing her any favours. That's just the way I see it.

That we know about, of course . 😀

Wouldn’t it be speculation to assume there is. Which you are adamantly against on this thread. Can you explain the exception or can we know speculate at will?
sunglassesonthetable · 07/11/2021 15:15

@Lemon TT

Yes I am really against speculation being presented as fact as in

" there is No evidence"

" She did NOT let him speak welsh"

But

" He probably hates her behaviour"

"It is probably so distressing for the kids"

"she sounds very distressed"

I couldn't disagree with that all.

Is anyone else reading that as definitely no speculation allowed unless @sunglassesonthetable agrees with it?

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 07/11/2021 15:36

I read it as @sunglassesonthetable being against hearsay being presented as absolute fact but people speculating with an opinion is fine.

Thesummeriwas16 · 07/11/2021 15:36

I thought you were against speculations and assumptions too @ChequerBoard?

sunglassesonthetable · 07/11/2021 15:48

Well @LemonTT you did ask so please don't try and stitch me up.

You sound pretty childish .

In days of old, this whole thread would have been in Sleb Twaddle. We are all implicated, just by clicking on it Wink

You're so right! If I knew how to add a laughing emoji I would!
LoekMa · 07/11/2021 15:55

@ChequerBoard Grin funny isnt it?

It is funny considering how
@ChequerBoard
aggressively answered me when I deigned to speculate that Alice AND loan agreed that she should give up her career to be at home for the children!

Cheeseandlobster · 07/11/2021 16:00

Wait. What? When did Sleb Twaddle go? I never knew this. I usually find threads by searching through Active convos

ChequerBoard · 07/11/2021 16:14

"It is funny considering how @ChequerBoard aggressively answered me when I deigned to speculate that Alice AND loan agreed that she should give up her career to be at home for the children!"

What's funny? Me be consistently opposed to posters speculating and projecting wildly and then those same posters calling other posters out for speculating?

Jesus - you couldn't make this up!

*@ChequerBoard* It was hardly projecting wildly to speculate that they had both agreed when they were a married couple and it certainly wasn't worth the aggression. And yes I do think it funny for you to try and pull sunglasses up when you did the same thing.
sunglassesonthetable · 07/11/2021 16:44

Sorry @LemonTT that wasn't for you. My mistake.

What was the wild speculation?

Cheese MN got rid of it a couple of years ago cos non sleb-twaddlers complained that it was not in the spirit whilst clicking on it
It was deemed to be getting too close to blind gossip and sites like tattle life. All it really meant was that threads ended up in chat or AIBU instead. But we will always have the Summer Of Tayto. Grin
If only Taytay knew how much joy she brought me that year. And I still watch Tom's advert, well, Phil Wang's mockery of it, for old times' sake

Oh gosh. I really had no idea. And 2 years ago too? How embarrassing Blush
