I've been following the story around the breakup of Ioan and Alice. I haven't been a great fan of Alice in the past, but I do feel for her and her children right now. Who else thinks that Ioan has behaved atrociously to his family? According to his wife, he has been having an affair for a long while, and making her feel as though she was in the wrong for months.

Because Alice herself complained about him speaking Welsh to his own parents.

Ten months isn’t ‘nothing’. And while there is no precise or arbitrary time limit as such, at this point I would have expected the initial shock to have abated enough for her tirades to be done behind closed doors rather than very publicly for her kids to see.

Some posters on here seem to think your husband leaving is a free pass to hit out at everyone around you, harass people online, share your children’s emotional turmoil with the world to make Xh look bad, and generally let the drama swallow you up while not even trying to do anything about it.

I repeat, why does she not have friends?

So? What is he to do, never speak Welsh again? If I remember rightly she was complaining about him speaking it on the phone; so not even when the parents were present.

It’s getting silly now, the behaviour you are explaining away because she is a woman who has been dumped, and you obviously feel some kind of kinship with that.

If the sexes were reversed, everyone would be saying she had a lucky escape, that she deserves happiness, how dare he keep her children from her, that he is a control freak & possibly dangerous.

But because she’s a woman, she can do no wrong here & deserves endless sympathy for her frankly ridiculous and disturbing behaviour.

If Alice is addressing the ‘epidemic of men leaving for younger women’, then she’s doing a good job of showing why.

We keep repeating that she has only found out about Bianca in the last 10 days so as a previous poster said the plaster has been ripped off.

As to why she doesn't have friends how can we possibly know?

I have empathy for all suffering people, but more so for those who try to help themselves & not take the piss by expecting the world to prop them up forever.

No not that one, think this was a bit earlier, his character was immortal and think he helped solve murders or something.

There is a post on Instagram from 17th October of her with some friends who all have the same second name as her. She refers to them as her first ever loves. I don't know whether she is trying to reach out to them as the photo seems old or whether they have lost touch or whether they are still in her life. I hope she has someone to talk to though. As I posted earlier in the thread, a good friend would try to stop her posting what she is on social media. Though I guess if she lives across the pond and / or is insistent on posting as she is, then what can they really do? They can't force her to come off social media. Only she can do that.

Alice has posted another photo on Instagram now with Ioan cut out addressed to Bianca. The hurt is palpable but she isn't doing herself any favours at all.

I think the crucial phrase here is " at this point I would have expected".

Pure presumption and speculation. Many on here ( with experience ) have said it's a short time in the life of a break up.

You don't like what she's doing, fair enough, but this whole stupid timescale judgement is beyond ridiculous.

Posters just need to leave off about it. It looks stupid.

People absolutely do surprise you. When I had a really acrimonious breakup years ago, the one person I genuinely thought would be there took ex dp's side. Meanwhile some of dp's friends sided with me. One of my best friends experienced the same. Her ex dp's best friend is only friends with her. Neither of us asked anyone to take sides but people really do surprise you in both ways
