Hmm that's not how you start a thread like this. You give yours first.

SpindleWhorl · 08/09/2021 01:15

I met a boy, cute as can be.

Turned out he was a bit of a twat though in the end.

SpindleWhorl · 08/09/2021 01:17

Then there was that dance instructor who was waaaaaay too old for me.

He he didn't even teach me to dance that well tbh.

SpindleWhorl · 08/09/2021 01:19

And don't even get me going on wet pottery wheels and background music.

Blueberryflavour · 08/09/2021 01:33

Not my personal story but they were both very young and their families had a bit of a feud going on so not ideal. Apart from that it was perfect, til the ending of course

DramaAlpaca · 08/09/2021 01:37

Nope. You go first, OP.

Guineapigbridge · 08/09/2021 01:41

I was singing La Vie En Rose at a drag club. When he walked in, drunk. We ended up buying junk food from a grocery store and talking in the car park till dawn.

Crunched · 08/09/2021 02:03

My Dad brought an orphan home and, despite the fact I have married someone else, I know he is the one I should be with. Anyway, too long I roamed in the night and now I'm coming back to his side, to put it right.

MadamBatty · 08/09/2021 03:59

When my lover who previously rejected me finally took me in his arms after he had gone blind & his house burned down, sigh.

Don’t get me started on his mad ex in his attic though. Some women don’t know when to give up.

Wait, what? He taught you to dance really well!

Just walking down sunset boulevard one evening in a wig and thigh highs and got whisked off my feet by a billionaire.

There’s a guy who works in our chip shop who swears he’s Elvis but he’s a liar and I’m not sure about you , OP.

SpindleWhorl · 08/09/2021 04:37

He took me took a supermarket, he said he had to start it somewhere so why not there?

It was such fun but I did notice they'd run out of Dolmades.

Izzy24 · 08/09/2021 04:44

Started as an online thing. When we finally met up it turned out I already knew him…

FuckingFabulous · 08/09/2021 05:01

Me, just a small town girl. Pretty lonely. Decided to buy a train ticket. Didn't care where to. Train left at midnight. To my surprise, there was a city boy who had the same idea. So we went to a wine bar that was really smoky. There was a singer and the whole place smelt like Pinot Grigio and Sarah Jessica Parker perfume.

When we left, there were strangers waiting up and down the boulevard.... streetlights, people living just to find emotion that was hiding somewhere in the night.

We didn't stop believing, OP. We held on to that feeling.

category12 · 08/09/2021 05:26

I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, that much is true, but I always knew I'd find a much better place either with or without him. He took credit for my successes and turning me into someone new. Five years later on, we'd had such good times. I'd say I still love him but I need to live my life on my own, I guess it's just what I must do.

Brieeeeeeeeeeee · 08/09/2021 05:29

He was a boy, and I was a girl, can I make it any more obvious?

PieMistee · 08/09/2021 05:56

I once met a girl. Well really she once met me.

Liverbird77 · 08/09/2021 05:56

@Brieeeeeeeeeeee I think you can if you expand on it a bit. I think I know this couple...was he a punk and did she do ballet?

isthismylifenow · 08/09/2021 06:14

He told me to look at the stars... They were shining for me.

Brieeeeeeeeeeee · 08/09/2021 06:22

@Liverbird77 what more can I say? Grin
