Met a man of few words. He just said ...go

IlsaLund · 08/09/2021 20:00

I walked into a gin joint

Sunbird24 · 08/09/2021 20:10

I used to play naked in his paddling pool when I was little, then we met again wearing cringe Christmas jumpers at my parents’ party. I wasn’t really all that keen so I had a bit of a fling with my boss, but it turned out he liked me just the way I am…

So I was just a beginner at the dance studio but nobody else would dance his way … the old guard were too protective of their dance contests - and they stitched it all up anyway. He was getting thrown out of competitions, his regular ballroom partner refused to do those steps. They were banned! Even his overbearing mother wouldn’t support him. But i would give it a try. So he taught me to dance, his way. It was really tough but I gave it my all.

When we hit the floor in the major local competition nobody had seen anything like it. Proper paso doble! My nan made me the most amazing dress. I shed my glasses and looked amazing. The corrupt dance federation chairman was overthrown - and we kissed.

(Tbh I’ve always suspected he was actually gay though …)

@Username06834 Were you the one a stranger kissed at her birthday party? I fancied a man I worked with apart from his brown polo necks, but he was a little aloof, and seemed distracted. I went to a party with him but then caught him kissing the birthday girl. I don't think her DP was too happy!

No, I think you're thinking of my friend's birthday party - it was her party and she told everyone that she would cry if she wanted, you would cry too if it happened to you!!

Long ago, high on a mountain in Mexico.

I met a young shepherd boy - Angelo.

ADialgaAteMyDog · 08/09/2021 21:08

He was much older, and had a dead first wife. He took me to his huge house in Cornwall, where the creepy housekeeper made it clear, to me at least, that she didn't approve of me at all.
It all turned out the first wife died on somewhat murky circumstances so now we float around in Europe and keep track of any old cricket scores as a taste of home.

HippyChickMama · 08/09/2021 21:30

I'd just got married to my dh when I found out that his best friend was in love with me, all the footage he'd filmed of our wedding were close ups of me! Then he turned up on our doorstep and told me how he felt about me using giant cards that he'd written on. I chased after him when he left and kissed him in the snow (despite his creepy stalker behaviour). Dh is still none the wiser

ElephantCup · 08/09/2021 21:35

He drew a picture of his house on a napkin, I moved in and stole the house, but it’s ok we are in love now

Mycatismadeofstringcheese · 08/09/2021 21:59

A man, who wasn’t my husband, spent about 20 minutes touching my skin with his finger through a small hole in the leg of my woollen tights while I played piano.

I didn’t say a word.

givinglessfucksdaily · 08/09/2021 22:20

Once in the firelight- there was Fernando
Softly strumming his guitar
There was definitely something in the air that night

Onthedunes · 08/09/2021 22:21

I met a girl but ended up sleeping with her mother, all hell broke loose and I resigned myself to the fact I'd blown it.

Then after much pouting and sulking I managed to convince my girl to take me back.

I'm still paying for those church doors I damaged.

CovidPassQuestion · 08/09/2021 22:25

She was moving on the dance floor, like a bird of paradise. She gave me a smile like cherry ice cream, but she was smug, like she knew it was nice. She showed me her special flicky moves, and watched herself in the mirror admiringly.
She told me her name, which was quite unusual for a girl, and then she danced in the sand, like a river twisting across a dusty land.
I'll tell you something, I know what you're thinking, luck is on my side.

CoronaPeroni · 08/09/2021 22:28

I told him I was just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her....Luckily for me he was a bit of a twit and I was a squillionaire and we lived happily ever after in someone's back garden.

Remoteso · 08/09/2021 22:31

So I was a girl in a bar, doing tequila shots I think, met this cute dreamy guy with amazing hair.
Had great sex, the best sex, back at my mum's place - she had early onset Alzheimer's and had to go into a home.
Anyway start my new job the next day and guess who also worked there?! He was like my bosses boss!!

MagpieCastle · 08/09/2021 23:03

Well, we simply realised that we were both after the same rainbow’s end, my Huckleberry friend. That’s the story of my moon river and me.

SpindleWhorl · 08/09/2021 23:12

He was an archaeologist. So's not to dripfeed, a spaceship flew out of a dormant volcano in front of us (bear with me on this one) and there was a lot of collapsing and destruction tbh; and my son, the son he never knew he had, came to our wedding shortly afterwards and tried to steal his hat.

EspressoDoubleShot · 08/09/2021 23:14

We were staying in Paris
To get away from our parents
look so proud
Standing there with a frown and a cigarette
Posting pictures of ourself on the Internet

Heartofglass12345 · 08/09/2021 23:15

I started talking to him on the phone in work, I'm welsh and he's English but that didn't stop us eventually meeting up in London. We had sex on the first night and I though I had put him off, but he drove all the way to Wales to see me, turns out I'd got it wrong!
We fell in love quickly and got engaged, married soon after. I moved to his house with his parents but eventually got too home sick and moved back to Wales.
We decided to make a go of things and he got a job in wales and we moved back there permanently but it really upset his mum and best friend (who had a baby with my best friend)
We were happy and tried for a baby for a while but nothing happened so we thought he was having fertility problems, but it turns out his balls work!
We went on to have 3 children and my best friend proposed to his best friend!
We're not sure what his answer was yet though......

Mycatismadeofstringcheese · 08/09/2021 23:19

It was a long time ago (1955) and I had a really passionate kiss with a guy called Calvin in a car at my high school prom (although he may not have been as keen). I never saw him again, but I did meet the love of my life that evening and we married and had kids.

It’s weird how memory plays tricks on you. Sometimes I look at my son and he just reminds me so much of Calvin.

EspressoDoubleShot · 08/09/2021 23:23

Yea so I live with my bestie and her man. We are all a bit ohh ahh always up to mischief. So my bestie was selling diet pills to her sister in law and he well got the hump. Next thing I’m getting jiggly with my best mate husband in a skuzzy club on a scabby sofa. So now we have all fallen out

ImitationofBeing · 08/09/2021 23:33

I was going to a party, wearing my best dress and heels. Right glam.
Ran out of petrol so popped to the nearest garage in a dodgy part of town, and there he was ready to fill up my tank, my gorgeous back street boy. I love him so much even though he can never afford to buy me pearls.

EspressoDoubleShot · 08/09/2021 23:38

I think of another boy I knew(before I boffed my besties husband)
We were both young when I first saw him
I close my eyes and the flashback starts
I'm standin' there
On a balcony in summer air
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns
See you make your way through the crowd
And say, "Hello"
Little did I know

CovidPassQuestion · 08/09/2021 23:53

I had to babysit my step brother Toby, again. When I just have so much to do, reading, writing poetry etc.
Anyway Toby wouldn't settle, and I was at the end of my tether, and I just wished he'd be quiet or just go away.
And then, he did!
Blissful peace and quiet...but then I was whisked away to this amazing masked ball, and a man with the most amazing hair and incredibly tight breeks danced with me, and I could feel myself falling.....
