I'm on a forth date with a guy. He's cooking. Left me in charge of his phone for Spotify.

It's not an iPhone. I don't know what I'm doing. I get out of the app. I panic. Hit another button. Whatsapp. It's a chat with a friend of his where he's detailing what we got up to on our last date.

Also scrolling back. I'm half a bottle of wine down. He says he might not see me again as I'm not his type.

Sooooo. What do I do now. I feel like crap.

I was once in a similar situation in my early 20's, a bit tipsy, unsure, had lost my keys and coerced into staying by a man who kept trying to get me more and more drunk. I DO think the poster was vulnerable. When someone says they want to leave, the answer is not to top up their glass and encourage them to drink more.

And Spotify playlists don't need to have someone in charge. Isn't that the point, of you know, putting on a playlist.

A guy cannot chat to a friend about how his life is going, but it's perfectly OK for a woman to invade his privacy apparently.

I was reading this last night. I think it’s likely he’s explained, they spend the night together and OP is fine. She will come home and either feel satisfied about the situation or feel upset on her return. Either way, it’s neither helpful to be shouting that he’s an abuser or she’s stupid for getting drunk.
