Ah thanks everyone! The girls had a GREAT day. I’m absolutely exhausted, the house is chaotic and covered in glitter - just the way it should be! Oh, and a double dose of forceps so VB 😂
As an aside - Geller is clearly an absolutely broken man. The only thing he can talk about is politics or work. He didn’t take one decent picture of the kids doing their birthday activity- as I was doing it too I couldn’t take photos - and he was ON THEM the whole time.
I think our separate attitudes to life can be summed up with our approaches to the activity -
Geller: Do this, do that, don’t look, be careful, up a bit, down a bit, wipe your face, do you need the loo
Polly: Just jump! Go on! You can do it!
No meltdowns from DD1, in fact you could see her grow in confidence as the day went on which was lovely to see.
I did get caught by a sideways swipe of emotion a couple of times but that always happens on birthdays right? I’m glad it’s over and I can’t believe I have a pair of 8 year olds! I gave them a little pep talk this morning about how proud I was of them and they certainly did me proud yesterday.
Going to put my meditation app back on and try to get a bit more kip. Got a full on Sunday coming up.
