Thread 4. Wow. Thank you for putting up with my ramblings thus far, and for all the support - I couldn't have done it without you all.

Previous thread here

I can confirm he has purchased a masher. He sent me a picture of it and asked if it was alright Confused

Meh he doesn't consider fair 🤷🏻‍♀️ also gagging

Maybe an analogy?

You're a fucking ninja by the way

pointythings · 23/04/2021 14:05

Given that Gellar tried to hide money from you in the divorce, it does not surprise me in the least that his moral compass has a magnet permanently stuck inside its casing.

frazzledasarock · 23/04/2021 14:05

All I can say Polly is you are a much bigger person than I am. I'd be telling all the interweb what he'd done.

I hope you are OK though and both DD's are well and DD1 healing.

RandomMess · 23/04/2021 14:18

Doesn't bode well for co-parenting does it SadAngry

Mix56 · 23/04/2021 14:51

Well ever since the hidden savings/ pension "outing" whilst you were scrimping, I already knew he was a moral Cess pit.

katmarie · 23/04/2021 14:52

It's helpful of him to remind you occasionally that you've made the right decision, he's got that going for him at least!. What a knob.

Anniegetyourgun · 23/04/2021 15:02

I imagine it's more about not potentially embarrassing/outing the other individual rather than being fair to him.

MangoBiscuit · 23/04/2021 18:48

The more I hear, the more I wonder if he's a covert narcissist.

Totally selfish, lacking in any empathy, removal of physical affection, playing the victim etc etc

Horrible man. Well done Polly, you are rocking this, keep going.

StuckInPollyannaMode · 23/04/2021 21:54

I knew the girls birthday would be hard.

This time 8 years ago I was spending the night at my parents house, and had just climbed into bed after watching a bloody brilliant programme on the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. I went into labour at midnight on the dot.

Where was Geller? In London for a board meeting, which I’d begged him not to go to as I was 33 weeks and had been told that I was vulnerable from 32 weeks and he shouldn’t travel from then.

I’ll never forgive him. Ever. He made it back with one hour to spare and even then was fucking useless.

I’ve made and iced both cakes, presents are wrapped, balloons are up and first stage of celebrations are complete.

FWB phoned earlier and it was so nice to hear his voice. It was a complete booty call - he wanted to know if I was free this weekend - I laughed hysterically. Possibly my busiest weekend of the year.

God, what I’d give for a snog in the driveway and someone to say job well done. (I know you lot will and I love you for it) xxx

Oh damn. I mean you’ll all say well done, not kiss me til my knees go weak!!

OP posts:
Lougle · 23/04/2021 21:57

No snogs here, but a huge well done. Your girls will look back and know how much you loved them.

RandomMess · 23/04/2021 21:58

Go you!

You always have been doing it on your own really from the start!

frazzledasarock · 23/04/2021 22:01

It actually sounds like a job spectacularly well done.

Happy birthday to both your girls tomorrow. And I hope you all have an amazing day.

Justilou1 · 23/04/2021 22:20

If I were that way inclined and on the same side of the planet, you’d be right on my list of snogees, but I’m saving myself for Idris, sorry.

StuckInPollyannaMode · 23/04/2021 22:41

@justilou1im saving myself for Tom Hiddleston. That scene at the start of the Night Manager when he strides through the desert in his fatigues

StuckInPollyannaMode · 23/04/2021 22:43

Thanks @frazzledasarock @Lougle and @RandomMess - and the rest of the MN tribe...couldn’t have done it without you.

Had a sneaky fag out the back and a sharp cry and feel much better now

To bed.

@RandomMess

Hugs, divorce is lonely at times. You have gone from years of having someone automatically there to being the only adult.

Be kind to yourself Thanks

As an aside the Christmas Eve building the Noddy Trike has gone down in legend, 'twas a veeeeeery late night!

@RandomMess - was it yellow with a red pole that you could slot in at the back to push it ?
RandomMess · 23/04/2021 23:09

😂 @I0NA I'm not sure but the recipient is now 17 it was bright and lairy and DD was very much into noddy for several years 🤷🏽‍♀️

I0NA · 23/04/2021 23:16

I bet it was the same one from Halfords, DD got hers in about 2004. The man in the shop built it for me because I couldn’t do it.

Sorry OP, small hijack here as I wander down memory lane.

Justilou1 · 24/04/2021 04:30

Tom Hiddleston as Loki kind of didn’t do it for me when he was always next to Chris H or Chris E and of course, Idris... but the Night Manager, eh? Must watch that one. See what the fuss is about. (And try and revive my wilted libido.)

DartmoorDoughnut · 24/04/2021 06:20

Oh the Night Manager is good

Happy birthday to the girls and congrats to you Polly for being awesome

RandomMess · 24/04/2021 07:27
