Thread 4. Wow. Thank you for putting up with my ramblings thus far, and for all the support - I couldn't have done it without you all.

Previous thread here

I can confirm he has purchased a masher. He sent me a picture of it and asked if it was alright Confused

Amazon would deliver him two laptops and a printer tomorrow. Just sayin'.

CraftyYankee · 12/03/2021 19:40

Please use Mix's response, it's perfect.

Welshgal85 · 12/03/2021 21:05

Love the new title! 😂

God he is an idiot! Completely agree with Mix, he just needs to sort it out himself and stop moaning to you. There is no way he can cope with 50/50!

halfhope · 12/03/2021 21:08

I can't believe you're still have to deal with such nonsense Pollyanna. I missed the third thread.

Sunnyday321 · 12/03/2021 21:32

Don't do it really

Give us his phone number and we will all send him a pic of our mashers ! 😂 😂 😂

Sicario · 12/03/2021 22:40

Put his phone number on Gumtree advertising free puppies.

StuckInPollyannaMode · 12/03/2021 22:47

I haven’t replied at all. Haven’t even opened the latest messages.

I’ve watched half of Hamilton, had 2 gins and spent 3 hours having rather fabulous text sex 😆 goodness, I’ve had a sheltered ten years!

It’s going to be a loooooong 6 weeks. Damn lockdown at least I’ve time to lose half a stone and wax Burt, my moustache

Ah well, at least I’ve the other half of Hamilton to look forward to tomorrow

Three Hours!!!!! Go you! Grin
Hamilton is fab isn't it? I took DD not long after it opened in the West end. We had two nights in a hotel, Hamilton one night and Wicked th next, and she trolley dashed Primark on Oxford street. It was like the mother ship calling her home! (Cost me the thick end of a grand mind you, but DH and I were both working at the time, and it was a lovely weekend. She was just emerging from Vile Teenagehood "

justilou1 · 13/03/2021 04:20

FFS.... he really thinks you are his “Dear diary, Today I bought a potato masher.”
Whoop-de-fucking-do
I think you need to send @Mix56’s email, but also add something like “and stop wasting my time with text messages attempting to either resolve your home life problems, absolve yourself of parenting responsibilities or obvious attempts to save yourself odious tasks like opening your own wallet for the benefit of your children’s education and nutritional needs.”

swampytiggaa · 13/03/2021 06:58

I took my 3 girls to see Hamilton 2 years ago 💕 we had 2 nights in that London (we live in Devon) and also saw wicked. It was amazing well Hamilton was anyway and I cried so much.

Last February half term we went to that London again and visited the tower, St. Paul’s cathedral and saw Six. Absolutely brilliant time 😊 I’m so very glad I didn’t put it off to the Easter holidays tho!

Mix56 · 13/03/2021 07:31

I take DD to London, just she & I every other year or so, fly into London, we do a show, shop, eat, tea at Fortnums, & nice hotel.... its a very special time, she will probably remember these trips for her whole life as the "best memories" of us.
Costs an arm & a leg however

swampytiggaa · 13/03/2021 07:48

We do the budget version as I’m poor and there are 3 of them 😂😂 National Express and premier inn (with breakfast) then McDonald’s tends to feature heavily!

It’s been their Christmas present tho and they really appreciate it 😊

Planning on going next year for longer and doing a couple of museums and hitting the shops. I’m saving already 😂😂

NettleTea · 13/03/2021 08:38

I would remind him that homework is only going to get bigger and more - he is going to need a computer at home for them to work on and print out their work. Its hardly rocket science.
That previous reply is perfect

rainbowstardrops · 13/03/2021 08:48

He needs to put his hand in his pocket and buy laptops for the girls to do their homework on!
He wanted joint custody, so it's his problem!

StuckInPollyannaMode · 13/03/2021 10:59

For other Hamilton fans, have you seen this Katherine Ryan sketch?

I just bought the underwear. And a leather jacket...

He needs to figure it out. I’m done.

At least he’s not messaged repeatedly this morning.

RandomMess · 13/03/2021 11:05

I agree about not responding to his texts/emails he's an adult. If your respond it just encourages his expectation of you to carry on with all the "wifework".

TedDansononmyown · 13/03/2021 11:45

OP I've been following from the start but in my own co-parenting el with a nightmare ex so haven't really felt brave enough to post.

I just wanted to say that I think you're doing tremendously. Your strength, resilience and love for your girls just shines through.

I wish i had your strength. Sort of hoping it rubs of vicariously!

TedDansononmyown · 13/03/2021 11:46

Clearly that is meant to be hell

WhoUsedMyName · 13/03/2021 11:50

Oh I need link to previous threads please? Tbh was only drawn in by the mash 😂

onyourway · 13/03/2021 11:55

Where can you see Hamilton on line?

drspouse · 13/03/2021 12:03

@onyourway

Where can you see Hamilton on line?
It's on Disney.
onyourway · 13/03/2021 12:08

Thanks.... just my luck, that's the one I don't have Grin

StopSearching · 13/03/2021 12:13

OP have you considered getting a new phone and keeping your old one just to communicate with him. That way you can turn it off on the days he has the children and not get involved in any of his drama.

TwoDrifters2 · 13/03/2021 12:27

@onyourway It’s £8 a month I think, with no obligation to stay longer. I joined up purely for Hamilton, reasoning that it was way cheaper than a theatre ticket and trip to the West End!
