Yes they are very different and in many ways DD2 is older than DD1 in spite of being 10 minutes younger. They do separate activities and have separate friendship groups, I’ve always encouraged them to be thought of as individuals not a pair.

My best friend told me last night I shouldn’t be making them separate birthday cakes as it was a rod for my own back - I pushed back and said why, I’d be bloody fuming if I didn’t get my own birthday cake when I was a child!

Hope everyone else’s children and partners have recovered well from their various ailments and accidents. I had to dress DD’s hand last night, let’s just say it’s a good job I didn’t go into the medical profession!

Aw thanks @Mix56 - it’s on the mend. Yes, they can ride bikes already, we’ll see how she goes - suspect she won’t be able to change gear but it’s a flat route we’re doing on the first run out with very little traffic so hopefully she’ll be ok.

Could you say something like you are responsible for arrangements on your days. I am not your PA. You want 50/50 (or whatever he's now saying) then that's what you have. Not 50/50 in theory but expecting me to book things and cover your meetings. Stop trying to give me orders. You are not my boss.

I’ve just found something out and his response to it has totally blown my mind. If there was EVER a smidgen of doubt that I was doing the right thing it’s been blown to smithereens.

I can’t tell you what it is as it’s not about me or my DDs so wouldn’t be fair. It’s not criminal (except morally) but it would be enough to end my marriage if I hadn’t already made the decision. I’m absolutely fucking FUMING and it is a stunning insight into his selfishness and attitude to life.
