New thread as I don’t think we are anywhere near done on this subject!

It was such a different date from the one with Flaky a couple of weeks ago, which was fun and flirty and full of attraction but then look what happened there!

My lovely relationship from OLD last year was a slow burn to start, maybe that's the way to go.

I just don't know anymore!

@pineappleonpizzaornot amd @Angelofdeath just sent him a nice message asking him how he is and how yesterday went, the sort of thing I would send to a friend. Going to leave it at that.

Still no answer from Mr Computer Geek, I think I'm just feeling really negative today, if he had surgery yesterday he may still be tired/in pain etc. I was fine this morning, I was sat contemplating breakfast really quite happy when my lodger comes in and just starts moaning about lockdown. All she does is moan and it's getting tedious and i can't escape as we are both working from home
Nothing that has come out of her mouth the past three weeks has been cheerful, from the moment I mentioned Mr Computer Geek to her she did nothing but be negative about him. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and she had already decided he is a lying cheat.

I'm chatting to another one at the moment. Very early days, his cat is identical to one of mine. Not the best opener when you say you have a cat identical and he comes back with the fact she died two weeks ago.🤦‍♀️

Haha he shall be known as Mr Cat Man now. He isn't very chatty. I'm struggling, he hasn't asked me any questions yet.

@Angelofdeath I've taken to hiding in my room with some gin in the evenings now. GrinEither that or I go for a drive. It was so nice going to Tesco yesterday morning as she was working when I got back so I sat at my desk in the hall and put the radio on then went out for a walk at lunch time. I'm out tomorrow taking my ex to the dentist so that will be a nice break from it but it is so draining.

@Angelofdeath I wish they would just make a decision. Mr Computer Geek would at least give me a decision(even if I didn't like it) and he actually showed an interest in me(when he finally realised he wasn't going to get me into bed straight awayGrin). This not hearing from him is out of character for him, even when he cancelled on me and stood me up I've heard from him within 24 hours. Maybe like you I'm reading too much into it and just need to forget about it for tonight.

As for Mr Cat Man he is exactly that. Why do I have to keep asking the questions just one from him would be nice. Okay saying that he has actually started messaging again.Grin

Isitreally77 · 19/11/2020 08:49

Well that's Mr Cat Man unmatched, we were talking about the favourite places we had visited, I said Thailand and he said all tourists in Thailand were absolute morons.

pineappleonpizzaornot · 19/11/2020 09:28

@Angelofdeath - You would think Mr Tall would have some sort of an idea of when you could meet wouldnt you?! @Isitreally77, Im assuming he still hasnt replied to you? Sorry to hear about your lodger, times are hard enough without listening to someone moan all the time! Youre obviously on pretty good terms with your ex then?
Ive had no freaky messages this morning....just a slow puncture on my car, this is when I need a man!

Isitreally77 · 19/11/2020 09:45

@pineappleonpizzaornot no still no reply. I'm trying to think positively about it and just think he is still recovering from surgery and that he will respond when he can.

I escaped to sainsburys this morning to avoid the usual morning moaning.

My ex and I get on really well, splitting up was the best thing for us(I can walk away when he starts being a dick) I don't think we were suited as a couple.

Isitreally77 · 19/11/2020 09:46

@pineappleonpizzaornot I have the AA for things like that. A man at home would be nice though I agree.

@Isitreally77 - Well, he will either reply or he wont, in the meantime, you just concentrate on you and yourself Smile ! I want to kill my ex Grin he was a cruel fucker to me, I think thats why I now have my guard up so much, he literally just turned into a total twat overnight! I also do not find ANY man attractive on OLD, I feel like Im going on there for a row rather than a date Confused

Isitreally77 · 19/11/2020 10:51

@pineappleonpizzaornot mine was a complete twat to me too(putting it nicely), and I have my walls up because of it but over the past three years we have managed to move on and I'm a completely different and stronger person, whilst he has fallen to the depths of depression and suicidal thoughts.

I'm the same I don't find any of the men attractive. Mr Computer Geek was the last one, and he is the one I've had the best connection with. Maybe that is why I'm struggling to match and click with anyone else. I hope you do find someone though.

pineappleonpizzaornot · 19/11/2020 11:09

aww @Angelofdeath - they are all twats Grin, and you are right they are really really childish, I cant believe some of the messages I get off these men that are supposed to be "grown ups". Im just angry with them all at the minute....probably not the best frame of mind to be in when OLD, but to be honest, its the messages that have made me like that! I think its definitely a toss up between Mr Hand, Mr 72 and Mr I Wont Leave You Alone....Im so jealous Grin.
Just received a message from one who is 10 years older, just says "hi", and each photo is taking at a football stadium.....eugh!
@Isitreally77 - I knod of get it, I think if I ever felt attracted to someone again pigs might fly I would have a hard time letting go, as I am thinking its just never gonna happen again, so I see where youre coming from with Mr Geek, but dont put up with shit Flowers

pineappleonpizzaornot · 19/11/2020 11:10

kind* not knod!

pineappleonpizzaornot · 19/11/2020 11:33

Just had a message off a 50 year old all it said was "naughty girl", I am so fed up with this now....just had a cry to myself Sad

Isitreally77 · 19/11/2020 11:33

@pineappleonpizzaornot thank you Flowers I'm feeling okay about Mr Computer Geek at the moment, if its meant to be something will happen and he will message when he is ready. If he doesn't message he obviously wasn't being honest last week when we had our chat about me stepping back. It would be a shame as he is the only one that I have fancied. But for now I am going back to doing some training next week and going for a run at the weekend (and tomorrow) in the hope my mood will pick up a bit.

Thanks @Angelofdeath - It really got to me this morning, sick to death of opening cringey messages from blokes I would never look twice at! I want to scream at them!
Do you ladies ever message first, if you do what kind of things do you say?
Maybe if I message first I might get somewhere Confused, but then Im scared of being ignored Grin
