Pretty grim here too...I cant even get a match with a decent guy never mind a date! Got a message off a guy last night, it was literally as long as a book, didn't reference my name once....was a typical generic message hes obviously sent out to 50000 women!

The dating pool is definitely both small and pretty dire at the moment.

Of the 2 Match recommendations for me today one was Flaky from last week and one was a bloke from my office 🙄

I woke up to a load of messages on pof this morning - think the app must have an update or something as getting loads of views and likes....and nothing has changed I’m still the same profile 😂
Have been chatting to someone I find attractive and funny but he lives quite far away and think it’s more a fwb thing he wants to start. I’m actually thinking about it because getting a relationship is not going to happen from these apps I feel - I also want to have sex with someone too now that my libido has been awakened

@Angelofdeath - lolling at your recommendations! Thats piss poor isn't it!! Also at Bob/Fred.....they are a bit thick arent they!! Mr Design that turned out to be Mr Flaky last week (I unmatched after he didnt reply to the reply that I sent him even though he initiated the first message!) he popped up again and I he had a new profile bio just totally slagging off his ex - bullet dodged I think - fucked up...the lot of 'em!

@Angelofdeath - I did that with my ex as he was 70 miles away, I hovered over the right swipe, but decided to anyway, turns out we had an almost amazing 4 years together-downside....Im now stuck 70 miles away from my family with no partner - shit....that sounded really down didnt it, I didnt mean to, just meant if its meant to be then it will be! Good luck....just dont move for him

I met my EXH on holiday and moved over 200 miles for him.

20 years later it's been shit going through a nasty divorce in the middle of a pandemic and not able to see my family.

His family were my family, fortunately some of them still are as they know how appallingly he behaved. Others have sadly started to believe his rewriting of history and playing the victim. His mum used to call the OW a slut but I'm now the one in the wrong.

Ah well, if I can get through this year, I can get through anything 🙄

@VivaVegas - HUGS! Same situation for me. We split in Jan, went to my mums for 9 weeks to try and sort myself out,, then the pandemic hit, then decided to go back up north to my job and go it alone, so ended up in a shared house to save a deposit, then lock-down, so back to my mums for 9 weeks and worked from there, then back in the shared house, then I had enough money for a deposit so got my own place....thought it would make me happy, but I miss my family a lot, so I want work to grant me to work from home 3 days a week so I will commute 2 , so I can go back home....but it isn't looking promising! Is been a hell of a year.....cant wait to see the back of it! iI have lived in 4 houses this year already [shocked] - and in the middle of that, Im trying to find a nice man

@Angelofdeath - I am that tough now I think I am made of stone - I cant believe that there are so many dishonest people out there, it really baffles me and I dont see what they gain from it, apart from hurting us nice ladies and turning us into sceptical not believing a word anyone says women!

@Angelofdeath - I have been a bit of a hoboe this year. 1 minute I was just back from a lovely 5* holiday with what I though was the love of my life and then BAM...Im in a shared house with people that dont know what a sink or washing machine is .
Im getting there, I will hopefully find out from work this week fingers crossed! Finding a man that drives, and commutes the same days....more chance of me seeing a flying pig I reckon

@Angelofdeath, thanks, I really want to go home and as much as Im clicking my shoes together it doesn't seem to be happening! I also had to take a second job, so I work 12 hour days 5 days a week! But my main job are hopefully going to give me a raise so I can sack the second job off which would help me a lot!!
4 months....wow that small!My kids are all grown up now, so Ive found being single this time hard as they arent around, at least when I was single before, they still needed me! They have their shit together more than I do at the minute .
