So I’ve been dating this man for 2 months and we get along so great. He is 28 and I am 30. Last night he told me that he had vasectomy done. I do have a one child - but I would love one more in the future and I feel strongly about it. He said he might be open to a child in the future and he could do reversal or IVF. I am not sure if I should continue this relationship .. any advice appreciated?!

I think it's commendable of him to take responsibility for his own fertility! I think 2 months is about right to have brought this up, as you are starting to get more serious together. I don't think it's all a bad idea for men to get vasectomies in their 20s with a view to reverse or extract when they feel the time is right to settle down and think about children. It should be promoted as an option alongside all the other forms of contraception.

There's nothing wrong with his having had a vesectomy, though it may not be true.

It makes him a daft partnerfor you Op though if you want kids and aren't too emotionally attached to him!

He pushed her to have an abortion and then HE was traumatised and went on to have a vasectomy?! At 28?!

Well, doesn't he sound delightful?

Let's rewrite this: he's an immature prick, but still successful at hiding it as you haven't known him that long. He had a vasectomy at such a young age because he likes sex with no protection.

Now, I know which version of events sounds more likely to me. I'd run.
