Looked for the new thread but couldn't find it...

I think I missed the whole last thread! will need to catch up. hope everyone had a good christmas and new year.

Mr Builder came over xmas night and at very last minute invited me to his family New Years Party. I not only met his family for the first time but drove them 122 miles alone to the party lol as he had another car-full.

@shitwithsugaron both sound lovely but I think for a wine bar date you definitely want some cleavage on show. Well I would if I had any 😂

Jane1978xx · 03/01/2020 22:07

@Undecidedsofa yes and we only live 5 mins away 😂 but have primary age kids and irregular hour jobs. Theoretically we could prob meet for an hour here and there but I think that would be worse than waiting and spending a evening , night and morning together

Sosounhappy · 03/01/2020 22:11

Hmmm been seeing mr lovely for a month. Did the deed last night. It wa rubbish but he is so kind. Help

Jane1978xx · 03/01/2020 22:14

Rubbish how ? Could be nerves or communication?

Marlboroandmalbec34 · 03/01/2020 22:16

Right gang I’m home from my date with Mr Fact. I liked him. Very tall, nice looking, interesting. We chatted for ages. He had to drive home (about 20 miles) so feels like a bit of a short date. Outside the bar he kissed my cheek and said he had a lovely eve and would like to see me again. Where was my snog? Does the early hour and no snog mean he wasn’t interested? Waaaah I liked him ☹️

Chochito · 03/01/2020 22:18

Marlboroandmalbec34 From my male friends who date I get the feeling it's quite tricky for some guys to launch into a first kiss unless they're 100% certain the woman wants it. The nicer more courteous ones are scared of coming across as rapey or having misread your signal of consent.

@Sosounhappy was it just nerves do you think?

@Marlboroandmalbec34 I'd have wanted a kiss as well! He said he wanted to see you again though...

Sosounhappy · 03/01/2020 22:29

Don't think so. I feel awful I just wanted him to want me but it was really hard work

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 03/01/2020 22:31

@Sosounhappy it sounds a bit ominous tbh... what a shame!

Marlboroandmalbec34 · 03/01/2020 22:32

I really wanted a snog but the doorman was stood right there so might have been weird. I desperately want to message him saying I had a lovely eve and would like to see him again. I shouldn’t should I? That would be too much? Waaaaaj

Cleavage shitwith obvs 😁

Sunshineandflipflops · 03/01/2020 22:33

@Marlboroandmalbec34 I've never really snogged on first dates to be honest. I like a little time to reflect and decide if I fancy them
as it's rare I really fancy anyone straight away. Second date snogs are better in my opinion as you are a bit more sure you like each other.

If he said he wants to see you again then I guess he wants to see you again...stop overthinking!

unambiguousbeard · 03/01/2020 22:35

@Marlboroandmalbec34 I'm with @Sunshineandflipflops I never ever snog on a first date. And no man has really tried. Don't worry. He liked you!

Marlboroandmalbec34 · 03/01/2020 22:35

Oh yay I hope so!! Eeeek

dancemom · 03/01/2020 22:38

@Chochito I'm on POF, Bumble and Tinder. To be fair, I do get a lot of messages on POF but just not from anyone who catches my attention. Despite clearly stating on my profile that I'm attracted to tall guys I seem to attract guys who are 5'7 🙄

I also seem to attract younger guys too but I'm about to turn 40 and to me, 33 year old single guys are at a different life stage to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chochito · 03/01/2020 22:43

I don't know how POF works. Can you message anyone on it, dancemom ?

How long have you been on it, and have you ever met up with anyone?

OP posts:
Marlboroandmalbec34 · 03/01/2020 22:48

He has just messaged me hoping I got home safe and thanking me for a lovely evening 🙌

dancemom · 03/01/2020 22:52

@Chochito yeah on POF anyone can message anyone.

I've been online dating on and off for about 2 years. I've been on plenty dates, just feel that currently there's no one I'm interested in

Ho hum

Chochito · 03/01/2020 22:53

Hmmm. Sounds frustrating. Have you met anyone in real life? As in not via OLD.

OP posts:
UtterSocks · 03/01/2020 23:10

Hi all - placemarking. Been at drop in centre all afternoon and on penicillin now for chest infection. So no dates for me for a bit. Got a couple of new irons but not sure I can be arsed for much longer so won’t name them yet. FYI I have not snogged anyone on a first OLD date either but I only once wanted to and he was too much of a gent. I have randomly snogged a couple of people in bars over Christmas but excessive wine might have been involved

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 03/01/2020 23:15

Oh god am I awful for doing way more than snogging on first dates? 😂

LeaveBeforeTheLightsComeOn · 03/01/2020 23:16

@UtterSocks feel better soon btw 💐🍫🍇☕️

Eesha · 03/01/2020 23:20

@Marlboroandmalbec34 yay!
