Old nude pics to himself !?

Hi there, first post ever and a confusing one!

In a nutshell married to hubby for 2 years, together 7 years, 2 children. Never any reason to distrust him and have what I consider to be a happy life together!

He gave me his phone yesterday to look back through his emails, searching for one that I sent him sent last year about a holiday.....

While searching around the dates, I noted 4 emails over the course of 2 days, sent FROM him via his other email account to himself on his current email account. The emails contained attachments with photos of his penis to be blunt. Very old photos from 8 or so yrs ago judging by the body! Before he met me take in old apartment. He now has a dad bod!

Emails were not forwarded to any body at all. Just from himself to himself.

Shocked, I asked him about it. He genuinely said he has no idea why the pics are there. He said he has not sent them to himself at all via his old account. He said only thing he can think of is his email has been hacked or mentioned maybe his old sd card has been hacked in his current phone!?!
Please domt laugh, I don't want to sound gullible. I'm not tech savvy at all so.... is this even possible?

He then really wanted to show me his phone, Facebook account etc as he was bewildered why this has happened and didn't want me to think the worst...and yet a little bit of me is to reiterate the emails were from 12 months ago. Never had any thoughts about him playing away etc then or now.

what do you think? Is it plausible?

Emails wouldn't delete themselves, no. Maybe google see if there's a way to see his app purchase history

Thank you x

This is what came up when I googled x

To see your Android app history on your smartphone, launch the Google Play Store, click the three-lined menu button and select My apps & games. Here you can switch from those currently on your device to view all you've ever associated with your account.
On desktop, you need to visit play.google.com/apps and simply scroll down to see just how much money you've invested in the modern day equivalent of an overloaded DVD rack

But why would he send them from.himself, to himself?

Comparison? Then he was embarrassed so made up the hacking thing and because he had no untoward reason for the pics gave you the phone to prove it? My first thought wouldn’t be he was sending them to someone else because you could have seen that from the sent or deleted messages. Maybe he’s concerned about changes and is in some way embarrassed- and I say this as a HCP who has a husband who has no embarrassment at all with sharing everything, no matter how many times I say I don’t want to know! -but I come across men every day who have let things worry them for far too long health wise so a quick photo comparison isn’t a major worry.

Thank you. I'll ask him to show me when he gets home. I feel sick after reading the replies but very grateful none te less.

Hi- didn't know him a decade ago. I have had nudes from him when we first met (classy dude lol) but not these ones. He said he obviusly did take them and woudl of sent them to someone he was seeing at the time.

Tinker2010 · 27/08/2019 21:56

He defo realises its serious the colour drained from him. Maybe it is for comparison. It just doesn't ring true with me tho. Alrho neither does the thought that he woudl send them to someone else. God knows

Emails definitely don't delete themselves- and deleting all of them MIGHT be to hide any evidence... or might be to try to free up space in the account/device.

There may be a more innocent, if weird, explanation, than cheating, but hacking is not a possible answer.

Really tough for you. Good luck Thanks

RLEOM · 27/08/2019 22:00

He either wanted to preserve some pictures from when he was a fit stallion or he saved them to send to women.

But it's the lies that's the worry. Is he tech-savvy?

RLEOM · 27/08/2019 22:02

Why would the colour drain from his face if it's innocent? Surely he'd laugh it off or at least not look guilty?

Tinker2010 · 27/08/2019 22:03

I woudl say he is far more tech savvy than me yes x

OP posts:
Tinker2010 · 27/08/2019 22:05

It's still the issue of why he woudl need to send them between his own accounts. Sorry I'm daft. He still had access to both accounts so why would he need to send them between accounts in order to forward then to someone else. Again so sorry I just dont understand x

Hacking is unlikely, a virus is more probable but he’s manic desire to prove his innocence is weird. I suspect he’s keeping them as a keepsake, to what end, I have no idea but I’m not buying his hacking defense.

Defence

Tinker2010 · 27/08/2019 22:06

Agent J could a virus really do this?

I think he found them on another device where that email account was logged in, was proud/wanted to reminisce (younger body etc) and sent them to himself so he would have them on the new device. I do this all the time (granted with much more mainstream pictures, but nonetheless ones that I want to keep) as it saves logging in/out/remembering passwords.

He was probably massively embarrassed when you asked him.

If there's no other red flags I wouldn't read into it more than that.

Tinker2010 · 27/08/2019 22:10

Sorry but to expand- both email accounts are logged in on his phone. He has access to both full time. His old one he uses for facebook and crap newer one is the sensible one if you know what I mean. Utility Bill's and such like x

I think he just wanted to admire himself the same way we might want to look at all old selfies from when we were young and hot! But he's too embarrassed to admit that so he's come up with the hacking explanation.
