What are the chances this is innocent? I was just going through my laundry and found a pair of white knickers that are definitely not mine.

No big problems in our relationship, he would like sex more often than me but when we do have it it’s very loving. He isn’t acting any differently and has always been very loyal.

Wwyd?

Those are the most unsexy knickers ever

Wrong. I am wearing much less sexy knickers than those right now.

Lozzerbmc · 18/06/2019 22:46

@EmmaGrundyForPM
That was Hilarious!

We had a mystery bra - never did find out who it belonged to ....

Supergirlthesecond · 18/06/2019 22:47

What does consitte a sexy pair, then? Thongs? Full on lace numbers? How does anyone get any work done in those?

Supergirlthesecond · 18/06/2019 22:48

constitute

TowerRingInferno · 18/06/2019 22:48

We had a pair of men’s shoes appear in house. I found them in a bed linen cupboard shortly after BIL and his family had stayed. I assumed that they were his and one of his toddlers had put them in there. But he swears blind that they’re not his (and they were the wrong size).

Dh kept joking that I must have had a man round but I hadn’t! I think he saw from my very confused reaction that this was nothing to do with me. And why would any male visitor that I was shagging leave without his shoes?

To this day we have no idea where they came from.

cathycassidy · 18/06/2019 22:48

NOT sexy?! Good lord, what do you call sexy these days?
You should see the great big reinforced gusseted bloomers I wear!
Grin relatable

JaceLancs · 18/06/2019 22:49

I bought DS some new pants for birthday - he didn’t like the fit and as part of a multi pack rest had not been worn so offered to DD for her DP
She said she was just going to put them in his underwear drawer n see if he noticed - thought it was a bit risky myself
He never said anything - maybe he didn’t notice - maybe he thinks DD is having a fling - maybe he is randomly bemused

AquaPris · 18/06/2019 22:49

My boyfriend does all out laundry and has found at least 6 men's T-shirt's over the years that wouldn't fit him. I have no idea where they're from and neither does he... every so often there just IS one.

Possible they're my sisters exes - though she lives 300 miles away. Or a friends, though don't think he's ever been topless in my house. We give them to the fabric recycling and chalk it up to my pretend fancy men.

Chocmallows · 18/06/2019 22:50

It's amazing the things that hide in duvet covers. OP, have you just washed bedding that you had put away for years and these are your knickers you forgot about? this is a really typical thing I would do

clairethewitch70 · 18/06/2019 22:52

This happened to me once. I had washing on the line on a windy day. Brought it in and found a pair of underpants not ours. Turned out they had blown over the fence from next door. My DM saw them and hung them on our line thinking they were ours. I was friends with my neighbour and we laughed over it.

Justaboy · 18/06/2019 22:52

Never mind knickers I'd just like to know where do all the bloody Socks go???

Lottle · 18/06/2019 22:56

Happened to me once. Turned out they were actually mine....

RezCowgirl · 18/06/2019 22:59

How long have you lived in the house? I found a black bra that had fallen down out from behind the radiator several months after moving in. I assumed it was from a previous occupier.

furryleopard · 18/06/2019 23:03

This happened to my DM not long ago and my Dad has been dead for 12 years so it wasn't him wearing them or having an affair! Plus she lives alone now. None of the females (or DB or my DH) in the family claimed them, the only other person they could have been really was mine from us staying at hers when we were buying our house but that was in 2011 and they weren't mine anyway! Very odd. Similarly, when I was about 18 mum said she'd accidentally washed this hair bobble thing of mine but when she gave it to me I'd never seen it before in my life, it wasn't my style at all! We never did find out who's that was, again none of the family claimed it.

defineme · 18/06/2019 23:07

My colleague once came home in the wrong pants from the gymGrin

MaternalMusings · 18/06/2019 23:09

What size are the knickers? Could they fit your children? Just thinking if they were small enough, could your child have had an accident at school and then been given them as a spare from the school office? Or indeed, could the children have had them stuck to something from school and scooped them up by accident?

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 18/06/2019 23:11

Are you absolutely certain they are not yours OP? I once complimented a colleague on a jacket she was wearing and then suddenly realised I had the same jacket hanging up in my wardrobe. I'd just forgotten I'd bought it and I had worn it! I did the same with a necklace my daughter found at her house. I was adamant it wasn't mine until I saw one in the shop where I had bought it! Ffs! Could you have bought them while doing an M&S shop and you've forgotten?

StarlightLady · 18/06/2019 23:24

@Justaboy There is a one legged woman who sneaks in our houses at night and steals single socks! It’s true!!!!!

bebeboeuf · 18/06/2019 23:35

I don’t think they are that unsexy.

They are probably on the level of my second from most sexy nickers I own

namynom · 18/06/2019 23:36

This happened to me before, I had totally forgotten about it until I read this! DH 100% trustworthy and incapable of keeping any kind of secrets, he was as baffled as I was! Then socks started turning up too, like PPs said it was the cat stealing stuff from the neighbour’s garden.

midsomermurderess · 18/06/2019 23:38

Who would leave their pants behind after a swift, illicit shag?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/06/2019 23:39

I once borrowed a sleeping bag from a colleague, and a pair of knickers fell out when I put it on the washing line to air before using it. I actually just binned them and never mentioned it.

We used to have a cocker spaniel who liked to carry dirty socks or pants around in his mouth. Completely disinterested in clean. He would knock over the laundry basket to get them, or steal them as the washing machine was being loaded. He was also a master escapologist, and we would get calls from neighbours saying he was in their houses eating their dogs’ breakfast, or sometimes being fed a bacon sandwich before being brought home. He brought home a few “treasures” from his adventures. He also once presented a policeman who came to the door with some dirty pants of mine. I almost died when he bent to take them. A very good boy, much missed, but a little monkey.

namynom · 18/06/2019 23:42

Just to add, I actually found knickers in my washing belonging to the woman my dad was having an affair with when I was a child. I brought them into my mum thinking they were hers, bit awkward all round!

I only put two and two together a couple of years later but she had definitely left the knickers on purpose. It’s like the whole lipstick on the collar thing isn’t it, marking your territory.

MyShinyWhiteTeeth · 18/06/2019 23:45

I'm single in an all female household yet a pair of tiny, extremely revealing knickers turned up in the laundry. I had no idea where they came from.

I was telling my ex MIL and they turned out to be hers. She always has a clean pair in her bag. They were really skimpy and not what I'd consider her sort of thing.

NameChangeNugget · 18/06/2019 23:49

They are definitely not affair knickers
