Found some knickers that aren’t mine..

What are the chances this is innocent? I was just going through my laundry and found a pair of white knickers that are definitely not mine.

No big problems in our relationship, he would like sex more often than me but when we do have it it’s very loving. He isn’t acting any differently and has always been very loyal.

Those are the most unsexy knickers ever. I wouldn't think for a moment this is anything to do with your husband and everything to do with your Auntie. She probably found the knickers in her house and assumed they were yours. They probably belong to one of Auntie's female relatives who will be mortified to see her not-very-nice pants posted online.

Dh just got in so I asked him straight away to see what his reaction would be. He did wide eyes and said ‘dum dum duuhhmmm you caught me!’
I don’t get the feeling he is lying. Feel a bit embarrassed about asking my auntie but have sent her a quick message asking. Fingers crossed!

I found some men’s ones once - no idea who the hell they belonged to. We were puzzled and joked someone was taking in laundry! Then DH mentioned that he had leant a pair of rubbing trousers to his brother and they must’ve got left inside these when he took them off and thrown into the wash.

Surprised at how many people are so confident that them not being ‘sexy’ means not an affair! If someone is risking their marriage by having an affair their attracted enough to the OW to fancy the pants off her whether she’s in granny time of the month pants or a lacy g string! Not to mention many women feel sexiest in comfortable underwear and if an affair has been going on a while even those who’d start off with fancy knickers wouldn’t necessarily keep that up.

None of this is to say that any of us can know whether this is innocent or not btw OP. Just that the fact they’re regular day to day pants doesn’t indicate either way. At all.

I know if I was in a newish relationship it wouldn’t take my long to wear normal pants and stop with the lacy things.

Perhaps someone else left them at your aunties home and she thought they must be yours and totally forgot about it. Esspecially if they are clean there is a big chance that this is the case.

Some cats are known for ‘stealing’ stuff from neighbours gardens and bring it home. Even if the cat didnt put it in the laundry basket, your OH might have. Unlikely scenario but also a real possibility!

It’s very unlikely to be a visitor of my auntie either.
Definitely not my cats, they don’t go further than my garden.

They look like mine (NB I am not shagging your husband).

Dunno.. I found some knickers once and they turned out to be SILs (picked up by me by accident when we all stayed at MIL's at Christmas and I did some washing).

Also found a pair of sport socks embroidered with the word "sexy".. their provenance has never been established

They are kind of like my usual every day pair, I’m mid 40’s , if I was going to be off with my bit on the side (not that I would ever have one) I would def make more of an effort.

Do you have a cat? Ours picks up items in her mouth and brings them in through the catflap. Random socks, a raw sausage and once half a small baguette (from neighbours we think). Do you have a knicker knicking feline?

I’m sure those knickers are from M&S -l have them in black. They are very much everyday / work / gym knickers for me! Not shagging at all

Do either of you go to the gym or swimming pool ? I've scooped up a random sock when collecting up towels when I've taken the dcs swimming before now.

When I lived with my ex I found a pair of thongs in a shoe in the landing, the boys had all been out and been back to mine after to carry on the party and I had stayed away, they all had girlfriends but never got to the bottom of it and they were clearly worn! Was an odd place to hide them or leave them!

They aren't sexy.. hopefully that's a good sign
