Found some knickers that aren’t mine..

What are the chances this is innocent? I was just going through my laundry and found a pair of white knickers that are definitely not mine.

No big problems in our relationship, he would like sex more often than me but when we do have it it’s very loving. He isn’t acting any differently and has always been very loyal.

Wwyd?

If you've got a cat flap it could be any old knicker thieving cat, not just yours. Or the knickers might've blown/been thrown into your garden

meuh · 18/06/2019 21:21

@puppy23 I agree! They look perfectly ok to me - what's grotty about them? Confused

This thread has made me realise I don't own any affair pants. Luckily I don't need any!

McTits · 18/06/2019 21:25

I think that in this situation there is probably an innocent explanation for the knickers. These look very similar to my knickers of choice; M&S high legs with lace trim. I can assure you that being in my 40s and after 2 large babies, a few extra stones and a few abdominal surgeries (including a hysterectomy) I definitely look far sexier in these than I would in a thong! ShockGrin
I’m finding the ‘definitely not affair knickers’ comments amusing. Typical MN belief that these evil OW are walking about in sexy underwear all the time trying to steal their poor helpless men away! Hmm

HarleyS · 18/06/2019 21:27

It's been windy lately
Your cats may have bought them in from the garden?

Betsy86 · 18/06/2019 21:28

They look like the lace topped briefs from asda, which are the far sexier version of the HUGE non lace topped plain full brief Asda pants im wearing.
That I started wearing during pregnancy and 9 years later.....
Those would pass as sexy in my house.
Then again the only fun im having tonight is with Ben and Jerry and my huge pants are keeping me nice and snug 😄

Spanielmadness · 18/06/2019 21:29

My partner loves the plainest knickers - he finds them sexier than ‘sexy’ ones. He brought me some cotton Jack Wills pairs for Xmas and loves me in them.

I recently had a pair of (horrible - in my opinion) plain flesh toned ones on from Asda that you get 5 in a pack - he was like ‘ooh - lovely knickers - are they new?’ At first I was a bit put out, but it’s not for me to determine what he finds sexy.

I think there is a bit of competitiveness on this thread about how erotic some peoples ‘everyday’ knickers are.

BedraggledBlitz · 18/06/2019 21:29

I'd be suspicious. When my ex cheated he did it by email, and only got rumbled by me cos he forgot to delete his sent items. So I think he'd have confidently offered his phone to me when accused.

But my ex was a nob and you say yours isn't, so who knows.

Is it just you and DH in the household?

HarleyS · 18/06/2019 21:30

A few years ago, a woman I worked with told me that her knickers had gone missing due to the winds.
As she was telling me, we were walking up to the office door, on a nearby tree there was a pair of knickers.
They were hers!!
She lived 20 miles away from the office.
I can't explain how they got there, but I believed her, the reaction on her face, the knickers were her missing wind blown knickers.

tenlittlecygnets · 18/06/2019 21:33

I have those pants in black. I think they’re sexy! Oh well.

listsandbudgets · 18/06/2019 21:35

I hope there's an innocent explanation. They could be just one of those things that have inexplicably ended up in your home via a worm hole in the universe.

We have a mug emblazoned with Hampshire and Kent Scientific services. Not only do neither of us know anyone from Hampshire or Kent but we don't know anyone who works for any such scientific service. It just turned up on the side above the dishwasher a couple of years ago. We've never established where it came from or how it came to be in our kitchen.

We have a cat and they frequently bring things in - most notably one Sunday afternoon some years ago a half leg of lamb still warm and obviously ready to be carved. I couldn't look my neighbours in the eye for weeks though none of them ever mentioned their missing Sunday lunch.

Not from me! Multi packs from Sainsbury's are fine!

StarlightLady · 18/06/2019 21:39

In answer to those who think they look OK. Whenever I buy a new bra l get 2 pairs of knix to match. I supplement those with sale items from M&S and John Lewis.

I wouldn’t feel good about myself putting those on in the morning though. It’s a case of self esteem.

Neither would l wear white, reminds me of school days.

AwfulExperience · 18/06/2019 21:42

I currently have a pair of my mother in laws undies that got mixed in with the kids clothes when they washed them.

SirVixofVixHall · 18/06/2019 21:43

I think those are perfectly nice, simple knickers, and I like lovely underwear. What do you all wear day to day ? I don’t wear white much as I don’t have a white bra at the moment, but I have one pair that are very similar and they are Hanro, they were expensive !

IamTheMama · 18/06/2019 21:43

when you eliminate the obvious and the probable. Whatever is left, no matter how impossible, is the solution. Once you have done that. Hire a lawyer/walk away. It took me years to catch on to 'a loving man'. When things were going good, smooth sailing, fun and happy. He was cheating, or addicted (again) or both. When I finally did catch on and looked back over the 14 year marriage, the only thing that comes to mind, even now nearly 20 years later; How stupid can one person be.

Dinks66 · 18/06/2019 21:44

I was sorting out old clothes to take to recycling. My ExH saw some black men's tight briefs (he only ever wore boxers) and started hurling abuse at me about having another man in the house. I reminded him that they were his vasectomy pants.

I did however promise myself that, once I left him that I would only ever wear nice lacy knicks and I still do 3 years later.

SallyWD · 18/06/2019 21:48

We have knickers in the house, and boxer shorts and socks that definitely aren't ours! I've no idea how we got them. Maybe guests left them over the years or we accidentally picked them up when staying with friends. I've never thought about affairs being the explanation. If that was the case then my husband's been having affairs with women and men!

Jacksmadre · 18/06/2019 21:48

Has he said anything more Op?

womenspeakout · 18/06/2019 21:51

I have no idea what people see as wrong with those knickers, women who wear those kind of knickers have sex.

I wouldn’t feel good about myself putting those on in the morning though. It’s a case of self esteem.

This is plain silly. Fancy and frankly uncomfortable underwear is patriarchal shit TBH. A woman who wears those knickers may be completely comfortable and confident in who she is, inside and out, and doesn't need to define herself by her underwear.

Those are perfectly fine, they aren't like Bridget Jones underwear, I'm guessing Ann Summers is what the majority on here are wearing all day, every day!

womenspeakout · 18/06/2019 21:55

Yes, it's been very windy, did they come in from the garden in your laundry?

Yawninfinitum · 18/06/2019 21:55

How weird
I’d be suspicious too. Difficult not to be although agree probably a daft explanation.

Whosorrynow · 18/06/2019 21:57

Lots of knicker one-upmanship going on in this thread!
Foxes Will steal items of clothing sometimes ...maybe a fox did it

c75kp0r · 18/06/2019 21:58

Those knickers look pristine compared to mine which are generally pretty shabby looking - throwing them in with the dark washing doesn't help. I reason that no-one will see them so it doesn't matter. I had reckoned against them going walks and turning up in someone OP's house.

spugzbunny · 18/06/2019 22:00

I'm another one who would put these in my slightly sexier knicks pile. Honestly how long are they on for anyway?

bordellosboheme · 18/06/2019 22:01

Yes no point commenting on the style of knickers, that doesn't mean anything!! Also they do have lace on. Theyre not that frumpy. Have you had anyone to stay recently op?
