Found some knickers that aren’t mine..

What are the chances this is innocent? I was just going through my laundry and found a pair of white knickers that are definitely not mine.

No big problems in our relationship, he would like sex more often than me but when we do have it it’s very loving. He isn’t acting any differently and has always been very loyal.

Wwyd?

What about your neighbour? Does your husband collect the washing from the line? Could it blown over from next door and maybe it was on the ground so he just picked it up?!

Happinessbegins · 18/06/2019 18:44

They’re not that bad are they?

VictoriaBun · 18/06/2019 18:47

They could be mine
But A. I'm sure I don't know your husband
And B. I don't leave my pants in odd places
And C. I'm not having an affair !

MiniMum97 · 18/06/2019 18:51

Those knickers are sexy knickers. They've got a bit of lace on! Plain cotton in this house for standard everyday pants. Those are positively raunchy!

stucknoue · 18/06/2019 18:53

I found an earring under a sofa cushion and it bugged me for weeks, eventually found out it was a friends who had lost it 18 months previous.

I've got underwear I cannot account for but with two teenage girls one at boarding school I'm pretty sure of innocent explanations, eg were in a drawer where you were on holiday, a friend left them behind by accident when they stopped

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 18/06/2019 19:10

Do you have kids?

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 18/06/2019 19:13

I can’t think of any way I could have picked them up. I haven’t been around other peoples knickers in any homes I’ve visited.
I have kids but it’s not them, they are only young and rarely out of my sight.

Dh is adamant he’s not up to no good. He offered up his phone and is doing his best to reassure me.

I think it will stay as a mystery!

Were you at the swimming pool lately ?
Could have scooped them up along with your kids things?

BaceFooked · 18/06/2019 19:21

I sorted my washing the other day, was way overdue and I ended up with a pile of about a dozen items I've never seen before. From kids tshirts to a bra and underpants. It's bizarre.

SmellMySmellbow · 18/06/2019 19:22

Have you had any female visitors to your house? (Spare handbag pair that have fallen out and been scooped up into laundry basket by DH)
Do you hang your washing out? (Blown into garden from neighbours)
Been swimming or gym or anywhere where clothes are taken off?

category12 · 18/06/2019 19:26

Gosh, people really expect mistresses to go all out, don't they? Grin Some days affair-havers might get an unexpected opportunity, and she's not going to go home and get her best undies for that, is she? She's not going to go round in her fanciest pants all the time, just like the rest of us.

And they're not the unsexiest pants ever, they're perfectly normal ones.

Who wears white knickers as period pants anyway?

WhiteLightTrainWreck · 18/06/2019 19:29

I would say trust your DH.
There's probably a very innocent explanation behind them, I know that my mum was forever finding random knickers in the washing especially when my brother went off to uni and brought washing home. To start with I kept getting them in my clean washing, that was fun... And I'm pretty sure my poor mil washed a few pairs of my knickers when my oh lived at home still 😳

I would suggest they've come to your house from someone else's via your aunts.

Or if you have a cat, there's a little underwear tealeaf in your house.

category12 · 18/06/2019 19:31

Yes cats Grin - I saw a FB post the other day where a cat had apparently been stealing tons of the neighbour's socks and pants Grin

AllTheGlitter · 18/06/2019 19:32

I have those knickers! They’re not mine though Grin

notacooldad · 18/06/2019 19:38

Who wears white knickers as period pants anyway?
When they've become old knickers get demoted to period pants!! It doesn't matter if they are white, its just that they've been superseded by newer ones!

Fernicktylo · 18/06/2019 19:40

About a year after moving house I found a pair of knickers (not mine) squished right down behind a radiator.

ItStartedWithAKiss241 · 18/06/2019 19:44

This has happened to me before. I think my DC picked them up in a pile of laundry at his dads and brought them home, so I think they were dads girlfriends x

Shockers · 18/06/2019 19:45

If they’re size 12, they might be mine!

But only if we’re sharing a husband...

StarlightLady · 18/06/2019 19:49

I left some knix behind by accident when I visited some friends once.

But those? I wouldn’t wear those to work or even under my gardening jeans, let alone a date night.

There must be a logical explanation other than the owner having no taste.

At university I once transported my massive Bridget Jones pants in my trouser leg (wide leg early 00s jeans) to a friends house where they worked their way out and appeared in the middle of their living room in front of about 15 people. Pants can travel far and wide.

Charley50 · 18/06/2019 20:00

Seriously do you have cats? My cats are very light fingered and steal from neighbours gardens...
You mean light-pawed.

Knickers can congregate behind radiators, but usually they stay there unless pushed out.

Hallouminati · 18/06/2019 20:01

My neighbour just drapes her washing over a line and the wind sometimes blows lighter items like knickers and socks over into our garden. They get brought in with our laundry because I assume they're DD's or she or DH think they're mine. It happened a few times and I was a bit Hmm but I saw it actually happen once. Could it be from your neighbour's garden?

Ohyesiam · 18/06/2019 20:04

Id say gym or swim.
It sounds to me like you can trust your husband.

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 18/06/2019 20:04

Bit ashamed at the state of some of my knicks if some of you think these are grotty! Blush
Yes we have cats but they don’t go beyond our garden.

Dh isn’t showing any red flags for concern in exclaiming his innocence so I’m going to believe him. He’s acting how I would think an innocent person would react.

I just wish I knew where they came from!
Thanks for letting me blabber on anyway.
